2nd Year Death Anniversary of My Beloved Grandmother

It has been 2 years ago since the mother of my mother died due to high blood and other illnesses I cannot remember. At the age of 78 she leave the earth with so much memories. She died last June 2,2023, and now, as her daughters followed a pattern for the prayers of souls, we are here in a private cemetery.

My aunt send financial aide so my other aunt can cook something as a little celebration. We went to cemetery for the visitation and some prayers for souls. My aunt passed by a flower shop and candles before going inside the cemetery.

For the Catholic belief, they offered flowers and candles for the grave of dead people. The cemetery is located in front of the Catholic church were the flower is also located. Expensive fresh flowers are available everyday.

My grandmother's grave is placed on a private cemetery. It is very wide and clean. There is peace in this place unlike in the public cemetery. My aunt bought the vault worth 120,000 or approximately 15,000 STEEM.

When we arrived at the place, my aunt placed the flower in front and lighted the candle. They started praying for the soul of my grandmother as part of the celebration and remembrance on her death. The prayer lasted on for 30 minutes.

After the prayer, we eat dinner together in the grave of my grandmother. We brought the food that they cooked at home;

• Spaghetti
• Grilled chicken
• Macaroni salad
• 1. 5 liter of softdrinks

We talked while enjoying the food at 4pm. I only eat less because I control my diet. The place is clean and we do a little picnic style while eating.

My grandmother is gone two years but the
memories she left with me ever since I remembered my childhood until I gave birth to my eldest child are still fresh. I missed her but that is the reality of life, we are not a forever citizen in this place. There is a time in a person's life to go back to our Creator.
