This is German based action thriller movie written by Christian Zûbert. It was released on April 30, 2025.
It centers on a retired army veteran who suffered from PTSD who is determined to find her son after he disappeared mysteriously in the US Consulate in Germany.

The movie has an interesting storyline, depicting what can happen to anyone, most especially showing the close bond between a mother and her son.
Sara Wulf(fiction) is her name. Sara was hoping to move out of Germany to the US in belief that she would get a good paying job to live sustainably with her son.

This moment was when things went sideways.
After Sarah's arrival at the airport, she processed her passport for her son(Josh) and herself and waiting for her ticket to be called to pick the next flight.
After waiting for hours without hearing her ticket being called, her son got tired and was disturbing out of boredom. To help him feel comfortable, she took him to the children's playground at the US Consulate. She left him for a second to attend to check for her ticket number and on coming back he was missing.

As any mother would do, she reported to the security officials at the Consulate stating that her son has been missing. The head of security assured her a search for him is on, but it is was to no avail. She resorted to wanting to call the police officials but was told that the police is already informed about the issue.

What Else Would She Do:

She asked the Regional Security Officer for help and according to him(Donovan), she entered the Consulate alone with no child. Hence, the surveillance footage showed her alone without her son. In a bit of disbelief, she contacts the German police, but these ones have no authority in American exterritorial territory. Hence the name of the movie "EXTERRITORIAL". She reached out to her mom Anja, but her mom believes it's still one of her Post-Traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD), suggesting that she takes her pills.
After that, she is asked to go home and leave the Consulate.

What Next Would She Do:

Unlike any other ordinary mom, Sarah unlocks her Veteran instinct and goes in hiding to search for her son, Josh.

On her way, she meets Irina who has been kept captive for reason she refused to unfold.
Irina offers to help for Josh in return that she would be helped to leave the Consulate. While in the same room, Sarah finds a bag of illegal drugs which she suspects that Josh must've been a witness and was kidnapped. After defeating two we'll trained assassins in a closed room combat, she is later injected with a sedative and falls unconscious.

On waking up, she sees the Consul General Deborah, who was concerned about Sarah's PTSD following what her mom told her during her deployment at Afghanistan, leading to the death of Josh's father and others assigned. She was the lone survivor.

Later, Irina disguises and frees Sarah on which she revealed her true identity to Sarah as "Kira", stating that her dad was killed by the Russian government. This and other actions followed up leads to her prolonged stay in the Consulate.
Hence their search as a team continues

What Next:

Serah realizes from a security laptop the job she received was a ruse to kidnap her in the Consulate. She received help from a journalist who helped her decipher the figure who helped in pulling the trap-strings.

The Truth Unfolds:

Kynch admits to Sarah that he kidnapped Josh and tempered with the surveillance footage. Kynch was trying to cover his actions of assisting in the death of Sarah's team during the war.
He wanted to kill Sarah while she's reluctant in the search of her son in an act of self defense

What Takes Turn:

Sarah kidnaps Kynch's daughter and takes her to a safe room, in belief to trade the daughter for her son, Josh. But then, as Ezekiel 18:20 says "A son will bear no guilt because of the error of his father". Later, she changes her mind and releases her. She resorted to a much discreet approach. She secretly records Kynch's confession about how he was treated by the military when he was serving and the financial disadvantage that followed.

For that, he has to sell our information to the Taliban for financial support. While in the safe together during the confession, Sarah is shot in believe to die as he wanted. But his record was late but played in front of his safe and other loyal soldiers.

The End:

Josh is later released from his hidden place and Sarah is treated to recover. After 8 weeks she calls Kira and then Kynch is in custody. Sarah then travels to the US as she wanted and plans to meet Kira.
