Assalam-o-Alaikum To All Respected Steemians !
A warm welcome to my blog. I am pretty sure that my steemit family will be doing great. I am also fit , Alhamdulillah 🤗. My respected lady @noelisdc hosted a contest which is about our grandma. I am grateful to her for this contest let's start:
Do you have or did you have a doting grandmother? We'll talk about her. If you didn't, did any grandmother outside your family adopt you as her grandchild? We want to hear about her too. |

- I think our strained relationship with her stems from the decision of my father to marry my mother against her wishes. She never really liked us from the start and never showed us love. This lack of affection made our relationship distant and strained. Me and my siblings have grown accustomed to this dynamic. It is a notable absence in our lives. You know na guys, family dynamics can be complex. Well friends, I find wondering myself what it would be like to have a warm, loving relationship with my grandma but you know it seems like a gap that is hard to bridge. It can be sad at times. Despite the distance, we still try to take care of our grandma and shown her love in our own way , even if it is not always reciprocated. It is a complicated family dynamic. Whenever, we visit grandma's house , we try our best to get her to love us and show us affection. We are doing our best to navigate it with understanding , patience and empathy.

What is the most iconic phrase your grandmother has ever said to you? |

- The realty is that , we have never experienced a moment where we felt like we received a lot of love from grandma or had a memorable moment with her. I deeply regret that we don't have any phrase or memory from my grandma.
Grandmothers love to pamper their grandchildren with their recipes. What food do you delight yourself with? |

- Whenever we visit our grandma's house , there is nothing special cooked for us. We are not welcomed warmly. We don't have anything to look forward to or treat ourselves with. My grandma never made any special recipes for us. We never felt special. She didn't enjoy pampering us with her cooking. This lack of effort made our visits feel uneventful. We often left feeling like we were not a priority. Well guys, the lack of interest of my grandma in cooking for us made it hard to feel loved or cherished during our visits. It was just a normal unremarkable experience.

As grandchildren, we know how to recognize our grandmother's seasoning. Did any daughter or grandson inherit that seasoning? |

- Honestly, I don't think I have inherited any special recipes from my grandma that I can try to revive her memory through food. Although, I do remember the taste of her kheer (rice pudding) battery she would made occasionally when my father would take me and my siblings to her house. The taste of that kheer has stayed with me and I still crave for kheer. However I have never been able to inherit it because my grandma never taught me how to make it. Since, she never passed on her recipes with us , we cannot inherit her culinary legacy. It's been a while friends since we have been visited her house. I am really missing my grandma's kheer.

Sin querer, ella plasmó en ustedes el descontecto que tenía hacia tu madre, pero a pesar de ello, percibo que tú en el fondo experimentas nobleza hacia ella y, eso ya es un avance, porque progresivamente puede haber un acercamiento entre ustedes.

Es una triste historia la que nos refiere, ya que sabemos que, por lo general, los abuelos solo complacen y hasta malcrían a los nietos, aun en contra de los padres que muchas veces se quejan de que los consientan tanto. He sido testigo muchas veces, por otra parte, de abuelos que se oponen a una relación, pero en cuanto nace el primer nieto, se olvidan de todo y se dedican a atenderlo con mucha ternura... Éxitos, amiga. Saludos.
A beautiful observation. It is indeed heartwarming to see grandparents shower their Grand kids with love and affection and beyond to spoil them rotten. I agree with you that grandparents can put aside their differences but that didn't happen with us. Thank you so much for these beautiful words.

Talking about Grandma, I was a baby boy. You know what that means? Just ask someone what it means to be grandma's favourite. See, food, attention, and love were all placed on me. There's a Time she opens a clothes box, finds a good wax material, and gives me the task to sew. She sews her own, too. Imagine the moment of being out with the same swag style as your Grandma. My own was different. She always let people know that they should play with me because she had my back. Even when I travel from the village, she was seriously sick, in our last call, she said: Won't you come and see how I will die.... She passed away a few weeks later.
But even after that people still remember her anytime they see me. I never got that type of love again. I miss her so much.
Your grandma's love clearly left a lasting impact on you. It is beautiful how she taught you to be confident and stylish. It's no wonder people still remember her fondly when they see you. You'll always carry her love and legacy with you. Thanks for stopping by and for valuable feedback.
