Visiting the Catli Family
Hello Friends!
How are you all? I had long weekend here in my place! How wonderful is that!
But I will not be talking about the events that happened today or yesterday. Despite, I will be talking about the time when I was able to visit the family that adopted me.
Back in the days when I was still a student, I was an amateur boxer and I fight for the school that I am in.
I had a pretty good reputation, so I won many times. On an athletic meet, the school fights against another school(local), then the winner will fight against another school(district) then division level.
I could say that I was lucky to have won and got to fight for the division level. Then here I met sir Bong Catli. He was my new coach and I stayed in his school for a few weeks for practice and he let me and my co boxers meet his family.
His family is very sweet, they are like my second parents and they liked me too. I often visit during those times and they liked me even more because I do things before they told me to.
I'm sorry for the long back story. From last year, I worked as a barangay tanod and just last month, I was asked to go with the barangay driver to bring the dancers to a dance competition in Bagontaas, Valencia Bukidnon.
We traveled at 6 in the morning and arrived a little after 8; we have to wait for them to finish the dance program which will happen at night so I bribed Ricrod to go to my friend's house in Musuan, Bukidnon. It will be just a few minutes drive and gladly, they are all at home.
The Catli family welcomed me and my friend, we had a good chat catching up, and we were even invited for lunch! Our allowance was saved, haha!
Along the way, I was able to take a picture of Musuan peak, it was an inactive volcano and I am glad it stayed that way for some time now. The hill is famous for its hat-shaped form and it's accessibility to it's peak. It has become a tourist destination over the years and the peak season of tourist visit was on Holy week where thousands of catholic devotees will climb to the mountain and get refreshed physically and spiritually.
We went back to the venue in the afternoon and waited for the dancers so we could go home. And sadly, they didn't win the contest.
The awarding took place at ten in the evening and we traveled home. Ricrod driven moderately so we arrived at 1 in the morning.
It was such a long and tiring day but I was. Happy that after almost a decade, I was able to visit them, they were like a family to me.
To end this post, I thank you all for your never ending support! Keep safe!
Congratulations
