Crochet, Pancakes, Flowers and More

in RECREATIVE STEEM2 months ago

Finally I'm back. Its been almost a week since I lost my motivation in doing the things that I love.

I guess I was depressed on no having strong signal in the office, plus those annoying co-workers who disturbs my peace when writing post. I can't open some of my favorite sites in the office computer I found it very easy to make the post.

I woke up very early that day. Chielly, my second child wants to relieve herself in the comfort room so I accompanied her because she can't open the door by herself.

Im feeling hungry too and so I cooked the pancake that I have been eyeing since my mother in law gave it to us last week. Hubby was still asleep, and I let him to. I understand he had been veey tired lately due to his work repairing the bonggo elf that they have been using in he and his friend's scrap business.

Now my phone got a low battery so I charged it and then came a brown out. Wooh, very timing. Good thing that I charged my 3dollar power bank and it saved the day.

Since we are not used to make pancakes as breakfast, and we only have dried fish in stock, and I grilled it directly on the burning coal. We ran out of gas prematurely due to caramelizing sugar for the cake icing in the past days so we used firewood again. Our dirty kitchen was poorly built that the smoke goes inside our house making our eyes hurt and the kids to have cough. Those people who built this must have thought only to get the work done easily and not thinking about what might be the result. He was the same man who built our kitchen. I told him about the water that goes in the corner and gets stock, but the same still goes after he put tiles on it. I don't know if he uses his bar level right. He comments on other people's work that it is bad, but so was his. Funny.

These are the dried fish that I grilled. This photo is with a camera flash on,and the other one with a camera flash off. I like looking at the 2nd picture more where the coal looks blood red.

Our water supply was electricity-driven to get to the main tank of the supplier, and a brownout happened that morning, the water stopped few minutes after the power went off, just a little after I stocked us water to drink and to use in the comfort room. I couldn't do the laundry too so I sit around and had quality time with the kids, watching videos and cuddling them.

At 11 am, I put my son to his nap, and it took me about 30 minutes to make him fall asleep. And my daughters were playing with their cousins outside. I called them inside after my son slept and Aelie gave me this beautiful bouquet of flowers made by the ceramic film holder, rubber band, Popsicle stick which they had their ice cream earlier and some random flowers from the garden. I took photos of it, and took a photo of it with my daughters too, its beautifully made. She's very creative.

Here are the photos of the flower bouquet

Then my husband texted me that he will have his lunch at home, good thing he will be little late because I still have to cook rice. Then I let my oldest daughter buy egg for their viand and let them eat first. When hubby arrived, I sent my daughter again to buy instant noodles, and gave her a little extra to be bribed with and she bought juice. I even caught a photo of my husband biting the juice and sipping it and playing with his phone at the same time

In the afternoon, my eldest daughter got bored and asked me for yarn and hook so she could crochet. She did her chains neatly this time and just one more, I'll teach her the crochet stitches that I know. But I still have to find time where her younger siblings wont be disturbing us while I teach her.

I gave her an 8ply indophil yarn and a size 8 crochet hook so it will be easy for her hold and insert the hook after every chain.

The evening came and so did the water, horaaay! I can finally do the laundry which I prepared in the living room, I can always see it and force myself to do it. Lols. Doing laundry with a toddler who always asks for bubbles can be a bit difficult to do.

So I did some laundry just before eating. I did my uniforms first, then mine and my husband's clothes in the next batch. And finally the kids'. I slept while making the kids to sleep and so I finished the laundry in the following morning. Good thing, the sun was hot that day and dried all that was hanged.
I had a very wonderful day that day. How about you all?
