Oysterling Mushroom (Crepidotus cesatii)
As the day was a bit cloudy, I managed to explore small forest nearby, partly was filled with dead twigs. I was thrilled to see a group of tiny white mushroom that were still in good shape and color which urged to take a few photos from various angle with my DSLR. Known as kidney-shaped fungus that usually appears on dead twigs. It is commonly known as the roundspored oysterling, a species of saprophytic fungus in the family Crepidotaceae with a stipeless sessile cap. It is usually found on woody and herbaceous plant debris from many different hosts including conifers, appearing from late summer to winter usually in small scattered groups. This typical mushrooms can be distinguished by its different spores. Little is known about the edibility of various species; the usually small and insubstantial specimens discourage mycophagy.
