Advance car care Part-2
The next phase of my car maintenance project proved far more challenging than I’d anticipated: removing the windshield and rear window. While the back glass came out smoothly, the windshield wasn’t as cooperative despite my careful efforts, it cracked during the process, much to my frustration.
Once both screens were removed, I meticulously prepared the exposed surfaces. Using sandpaper, I stripped away every trace of rust, ensuring a clean foundation for the new paint. I then applied a primer coat in gray, allowing it to dry completely before layering on the car’s original color. Though the brush strokes weren’t perfectly smooth, my priority was functionality protecting the metal from further corrosion and water damage.
For now, I’m pleased with the results on the rear window’s seamless surface (see the photos below!). But this project isn’t over yet stay tuned for the next steps, including the windshield replacement and final touches!
