I am currently reading ACOTAR and I thought it would be better than Fourth Wing but I have only come to appreciate Yarros's work more. And since you are saying that she writes romance better than romantasy, now I'm tempted to read her other books. Maybe next year... for now I plan to read some classics and thrillers.

Yeah, I won't recommend it to someone in your shoes. I also watched the movie in good times when 'war' was merely a word.
