RE: Geschichten aus dem EUniversum… / Stories from the EUniverse...

Despite the exorbitant rate, is a good idea especially for substandard cars. Even though is 1% of the accidents victims they manage to safe at least is something.

But my question is that, let’s assume after paying the fees and your car is in good condition, will you still have to pay next year or the sticker they will give out after running the inspection will probably tell you the next time you should run the next inspection?

Yes, up to now you have been issued with a sticker every two years after this mandatory technical inspection, which is valid for a further two years as your car's operating licence, so to speak. Then you need a new one. Another inspection, repairs if necessary, sticker, two years of peace and quiet. In future, this may be necessary every year, so it will only be valid for one year at a time...

Now I can see the exploitation you’re talking about..

With us, it's every year bingo.. not for the car owner by the way. And we don't receive a sticker. I guess that's too expensive. Next to that that we pay road tax actually, it's tax for owning a car. Even if you don't drive you still pay. And we pay everywhere. At home and abroad.
i just don't see they fixt the roads with the money it's meant for.
