We Resumed Our Food Aid Outreach Program At Divine Wisdom Schools Today.
Can you spot the banner behind these beautiful children with a million smiles on their faces? Yes, school just resumed, and we're back as a team to continue our ongoing project, "A Child A Million Smiles!", proudly sponsored by @worldsmile and @steemkidds. Divine Wisdom Schools, located along Ifa Ikot okpon road, Uyo, was the first and luckiest school we visited for our food aid outreach. Our aim is simple , to put a million smiles on the faces of the school children through kindness.

The food aid outreach was scheduled to start at 10:30am as announced by ngoenyi, So @kidi40 and I arranged to ride with her. With this in mind, we had to leave the house before the scheduled time waiting patiently for her arrival.

Shortly after, her husband, @benton3, arrived in their car, and @chichigirl was also with him, joining us for today's food aid outreach. The drive from our starting point to the school took about 20 minutes, and we were relieved to arrive safely.
Upon arrival, we met some of the teachers by the entrance, there were so much happy to see us. With the joy in their hearts, they treated us with care by offering us a sit to relax, while they made arrangements for the school children to get ready for the food aid distribution.

While waiting patiently for the children to come out, ngoenyi seized the opportunity to take some selfies. We're steemians, what do you expect?😁 We make good use of our camera lens at any slightest opportunity we have. The children in the daycare section made it challenging for the teacher to summon them out, but we remained patient, as our mission wasn't yet complete. We engaged in some conversations, specifically about the new SPUD4STEEM project, and how it works.

The children were summoned, standing in an orderly fashion.
Shortly after, all the school children in the premises were summoned, arranging them in an orderly fashion. Before we brought out the food we had for them, which was indomie noodles, uncooked food recommended by the school proprietress. We started with a little warm-up exercises with them, making them feel lively and hopeful. After the warm-up routine, the food aid distribution commences, and each child got two indomie noodles pack.

If anyone could pierce through the heart of these school children, believe me, you'll find a white clay. There were so much happy reaping from where they didn't sow. Do you know the joyous part of it? Indomie noodles is the most loved food amongst children, and that's exactly what we offered them, this was an addition to their happiness, triggering a million smiles on their faces. One may say, "it's just an indomie noodles", don't be surprised to hear this.

Many schoolchildren struggle academically due to inconsistent breakfast habits, often going without a meal from home to school. If you're to be asked, "can you read, learn and understand with an empty stomach"? Definitely you'll say no, and that's the truth. It's not possible to learn with an empty stomach, so this act of kindness that appears to be small has a vital role to play academically in the life of these young children.
If they children were really happy? Below is a vlog documenting our activities of today's food aid outreach, the video below will tell if they children were happy or not. Put yourself in place of these children, and enjoy the video.....
What did you like about the video?😁 I'm sure you'll admire what I admire too, that's the food distribution process and the dancing steps of these amazing children. What was behind their smiles? Food, nothing but food. I believe in the future of these young children, they're really talented. How I wish I'm in a better place to push and support them financially too, so that they can reach the highest level of education and achieve their goals.

I appreciate each team member for taking the time to participate in Week 1 of the second edition of the "A Child, A Million Smiles" project. It's true that while we may not be able to change the world single-handedly, we can certainly make a difference in a child's life through acts of kindness.

This is actually of kindness at its peak. Thanks for reaching out to these little children and providing them with what they can call breakfast or lunch. A little act of kindness can go a long way.
