What is one healthy habit you practice regularly?

Taking enough fluid, most especially water, is one of my daily practised healthy habits. Water is known to be life, and personally, I see drinking water to be more than that. There are numerous health benefits that water offers if we take it into consideration.

It will not only quench our thirst but also keep our overall health and wellbeing in good condition. I practise this habit in different forms;

Daytime: I consume more fluid.

Nighttime: Take in moderation to avoid using the restroom several times.

During and after a meal: Take it 30 minutes before or after a meal; I will take it after 30 minutes.

When and why did you start this habit?

Honestly, I can't recall, but I know it's been more than 11 years now. The reason was that, when my parents were living in a rented apartment, by then a pit toilet was the only toilet that many compounds could afford. And you know, as the female gender, our body is different from the male one.

Each time I do experience some certain things in my body (private part), such as itching, burning sensations, rashes, etc. My mum will treat me, and I will be ok for weeks and later experience it again. One day, I was advised by a pharmacist who treated me before, and it's still come back to me to take enough water since there's no means in the compound to answer a call to nature.

That as far as I am still using the pit toilet, it will occur again. She said taking enough water during the day will help to wash my urethra anytime I urinate, and since then, I have followed this healthy habit and have not experienced any vaginal infections again.

How has it improved your physical, mental, or emotional health?

Honestly, these healthy habits are super! It has helped my overall wellbeing. I am proud to go anywhere without having second thoughts. Before I started this practice, sometimes I would feel ashamed of walking on the road or going to a gathering because of having an urge to scratch my body 😂. Of course, you know what that means in a public place.

What challenges did you face while trying to keep up with it?

Omo 😳, at first two weeks it wasn't funny. After drinking one full stainless steel cup of water, I will feel as if my stomach wants to burst, and it will come with a very big dizziness 😨; sometimes my eye will be turning as if I received a big blow on my face.

Chaii, I suffer. It wasn't easy, but I will be relieved little by little immediately I start urinating. When my body started being used to one cup, I then increased till I was used to taking three sachets of water at a time.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start this habit too?

My humble advice goes this way: every successful man begins with a step. If you're the type that doesn't take enough water, please do; your body needs it to be well balanced. Drinking up to five or more litres of water every day can cut down your medicine expenses in months.

You can start with 8 sachets of water or 2 litres a day before increasing as you get used to it. Remember, drinking water supports your facial appearance to look gorgeous as well as delaying ageing. How will you feel when people say you're looking younger every day? I know you wouldn't want to miss this admiring word, so start now and try these healthy habits.
