Delay
Hey guys, welcome to my blog.
You know what I found out! Most people think being at the right place at the right time is luck. But I would say NO, rather it's alignment, there are two different things. You know who I learned this from? Relay runners. They don't wait for the baton to land in their hand, they are already running before the baton arrives. Why? because if you are still when you are supposed to be in motion, you kill momentum.
The baton is not waiting for you, it is moving so to receive it without breaking the race you have to be in motion yourself before it reaches you.
You see their posture?...Hand stretched back, feets moving forward, that posture says a lot. If you pay attention, that han stretched back is faith. The runner can't see the baton, but he or she just knows it coming and therefore stretches his or her hand back, saying: I believe what is coming is worth running for and you see their feets moving forward, that is work. It says: I'm not just waiting, I'm preparing to accelerate, (aggressive patience). He or she is not just standing there idle, he knows any moment, he would be released. So he says: let me start building momentum.
Too many of us are praying for a breakthrough while standing but you see in relay, the exchange zone is very small, miss it and the race is gone.
The concept of the right time has nothing to do with the clock. It's is called kairos, it is the colliding between your prepaid momentum and your moving opportunity. Opportunities don't slow down to fit your pace, the expect you to speed up and meet them.
Momentum matters, so start running now, not because you've seen the baton, but because at Olympic speed, they slightest hesitation is defeat. The baton won't slow down, it expects you to meet it in full strides.
And I hope that when it comes, you won't just be in the right place at the right time, you would have sharpened your tools and you would already be in motion, if not physically at least mentally.
Thanks for reading my article...keep steeming guys.
