What is that/those Proverbs or adages you believe to be true and how did you get to hear or know about it.

The saying that I always firmly hold to is that of what would go around will come around. I heard it spoken by my parents when I was little and since then, it dictates how I should treat others since it is the right and fair thing to do. Life has a tendency of repaying us the energy that we invest in it be it positive or negative. There is yet another proverb, with which I agree, that goes:

A sowing in time shall save nine. I was taught it at school by my teachers and this taught me why it was necessary to tackle the problem at an early age before the problem blows out of its proportion. These two proverbs have influenced my character in that they make me realize that our decisions and actions have long term effects. I am keeping them as working realities and they shape the way I live and relate with other people.

Why do you believe that saying is true? Do you know of or have any experience that confirms this proverb or adage.

Personally I think that the proverb that states that what comes around comes around is right since I have witnessed that to be true. Individuals who are considerate and helpful towards others usually get the same help given to them though at times unanticipated. Conversely, the unjust will be forced to deal with the outcome of their own behaviour. Such experience has been validated on personal experience during my school days.

I would help others in difficulties with assignment without expecting favors other than smiles. Afterwards when I fell sick and skipped some classes, it was the same colleagues who would join forces and help me by taking turns to provide notes and clarify what I had skipped. It felt like that very moment when I knew, bad deeds certainly come back to you and I trusted the very old saying.

Do you think the relevance of this proverb will be preserved in the next few generations to come.

Yes, I think that the topicality of such a proverb as What goes around comes around will certainly be maintained in the generations to be. The technology, as well as the way of life, takes a turn in human society, yet there is one thing that will never change, one of the fundamental ideas, namely that actions have consequences. In each generation, there are dilemmas in which the individuals are confronted with the choice between being kind and selfish, truthful and a cheater.

This adage acts as an immortal realization that our actions impact others and they end up coming back to us. Such wisdom is further perpetuated by parents, teachers and other community leaders who ensure that the youths are aware of its usefulness. Until there are relationships and communities that humans live in, the sayings actuality will never grow obsolete and irrelevant..

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @josepha, @joymm and @bela90 to participate.

Life has a funny way of giving you back what you give out — like karma with GPS tracker, you no fit hide 🤣.

I remember this sales boy who worked with my boss years ago. Very honest guy, always on time, never touched a kobo that wasn’t his. He left the job after a while, but till today, my boss still talks about him with so much respect. Even customers still ask about him sometimes. That’s when I understood that doing good might not pay you immediately, but it surely leaves a legacy behind.

Me too, I now believe in another saying: “No matter how fast the wicked run, karma go still catch am for junction.” 😅
No be only you sabi proverbs 😎
Seriously though, these proverbs carry deep meaning. They remind us that our actions — good or bad — are like seeds. One day, the harvest go show.
