Animated Magic - I have always wondered why as a kid, I sat hours watching the TV, unhinged, not disturbed about what was happening around me. My eyes were always fixated at the magic right in front of me. I didn't know how the creators of these animations could capture our concentration. I always thought human beings wore those suits and acted like toys. Well I never really knew how they could make such special effects on TV.

We never knew the name was animation but we always referred to it as Cartoon...and the first cartoon I remember watching was Tom and Jerry. No voice from the two characters but I could understand every action they made and what they had in mind to do.

But later on I watched other special animations that I went on to fall in love with; examples of such animations are Shrek, Ratatouille, Rio, Coco, Sing, Frozen, etc.

I have always called every animation cartoon when I was a kid, never knew the name animation. I got confused with both animation and cartoon...

So this brings us to the question:

What are animated movies or film?

Animation movies are movies whereby still images or drawings are changed into motion by the use of frames. This still images can be drawn by artist frame after frame and then created by rapidly moving from one frame to another.

I was always confused at first how this was possible, so I had to watch on YouTube how this was possible and that made me appreciate the creators of animation movies more. Cartoon falls into the 2D type of animation. Cartoons were the type of animation I watched first before watching the 3D types of animations.

Animations are used to convey messages, thought processes and also to entertain. Animation comes in different genres just like our conventional movies. Anything can be created with animations.

Watch an animated film (any age group, any style).

In the course of the post, the animation movie I will be bringing to us is SHREK 1. This animation movie was produced in 2001. I can say that this animation movie has stood out. It is an enjoyable movie that not only provides entertainment and comedy but also conveys morals and values.

Shrek is a movie centred on an Ogre who stays alone in a swamp. But his solitude was soon disrupted when a certain Lord drove away fairies into his land. He met a donkey who became a stubborn friend. He went off to get his land back but was instead sent on a quest by Lord Farquaad.

Lord Farquaad wanted to become King but had to marry the princess who was cursed and guarded by a dragon. Lord Farquaad presented a deal to Shrek the ogre; he was to rescue the princess and then he can get his land back. He agreed and left to rescue the princess with his new friend the donkey.

He rescued the princess from the dragon, but the princess wasn't happy that it wasn't a Lord who came to save her but an Ogre. But when she heard Shrek talking about how people judged him and didn't want him around, and how it made him angry and frustrated - reasons he stays alone, she started being kind to him.

The princess was cursed . She has to kiss someone she loves her before the spell gets broken.
Whilst she was talking to the donkey about the curse she had, Shrek overheard her saying Ugly beast and he thought she was referring to him. He got angry and went back to his swamp. But after some conversation with donkey, he knew he had fallen in love with the princess and that she wasn't referring to him.

The princess needed to kiss her lover before sunset, so she reluctantly agreed to marry Lord Farquaad but before they could kiss, Shrek with the help of donkey and the dragon stopped them.
Princess Fiona changed to an Ogre permanently.
But Shrek loved her that way regardless.

Which age group prefers the animated film you have seen above and say why?

I think every age group enjoys this movie as it is captivating and entertaining to every person's of any age group. Its storyline, comedy, and drama
would keep bothe the young and the old entertained.

Mention some of the challenges you went through while watching the animated film if there was no challenge, tell us the things that interest you In the movie.

The only challenges faced with Shrek should be some of the fighting scenes and kissing scenes. Which sometimes isn't safe for little kids. But away from that, the movie is actually comfortable to be watched except some of those scenes.

The movie was really interesting and I have watched it a lot of times too. I love the comedy which the donkey brings everytime. It adds a lot of life to the movie..

I also learned from the movie that it is wrong to stigmatize people because of their facial appearance. This has been one of those experiences I learnt from the movie.

Thanks for reading for my post on Animated Magic, I invite @imohmitch, @davidmarkgeorge and @onlyonefave to write about this lovely topic; Animated Magic.

Esta película me encanta de hecho hice mi participación con ella. Considero que tiene mucha enseñanza a pesar de que todo su personaje son animados. Pero también se puede ver que es una forma de llevar un mensaje.

That's wonderful if you starred in it. Which role did you take in the movie?

The quality of the screenshots were so low. I actually downloaded it to watch again but the video quality was low.
