A customized covers design and printing work for a new school boy.

As the school resumption for 2025/2026 academic session is counting down, parents are scrambling to prepare their children for the upcoming school year. Parents are busy buying books, school uniforms, sports wear, and other essential educational materials.

As a graphic designer and printer, I had received my fair share of requests from a parent who want to give her child a head start. One such parent, Mrs. Utibe, had contracted me to design and print a customized exercise book for her Son.

I remembered the day she called me, and described her vision for the perfect exercise book. She want something that will make her son stand out, something that will reflect his personality and interests, something that will make her son to enjoying leaving the house to school as he will be new to the system. I listened intently, jotting down what she really needs as she spoke.

With a clear understanding of her requirements, I set to work on designing the exercise book. I chose a vibrant colour scheme, incorporating her son's favourite cartoon characters and her son's picture which she sent to me into the design.

The cover page featured a bold, eye-catching font, with her son's name emblazoned below his picture. Once I was satisfied with the design, I sent it to Mrs. Utibe for approval. She responded promptly, and gave me the green light to proceed with printing.

Now, I'm working on printing the exercise books, I will be using the high quality 300 grams art card to print the covers, I'll be updating as the printing process progress.

I envisioned Mrs. Utibe's son proudly holding his customized exercise book on the first day of school. I pictured the smile on his face as he show it off to his friends, it will be the envy of the class.
