The Diary Game// Heavy Downpour that hindered me from going to church on Sunday 10th August.

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are doing fine and enjoying your day. I wish for all of you good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you my last Sunday's Diary. I hope you all will get time to read and also share your thoughts.

On Sunday, August 10th, I had all planned the previous day to attend church service since I had missed two Sunday services because of some engagements, little did I know that the weather had other plans. I woke up at 5 am to hear the sound of heavy raindrops hitting the roof.

I observed my morning devotion, communicated with my creator till 5:30 am, since it was still raining, I lay back on bed, this time I wasn't sleeping again, I was just checking some news updates on the internet using my phone. By 7 am, I got up from my bed and started cleaning the house and thereafter brushed my teeth.

All these was to linger to see if the rain will stop so that I could leave for church. Behold by 8:15 am, there was no sign that the rain would stop so soon, I was late for church already, I was supposed to be in church by 8 am for Sunday school and the holiness meeting (the service proper). By 10 am, the rain was still coming down and I couldn't stay in the house again, I had other activities for the day and can't let the rain ruin my day, so I stepped out in to the rain with my umbrella.

My aim for going out in the rain was to give my laundry man some of my clothes for washing and there after went to cut my hair. My first stop was the laundry man. From there, I headed to the barber who had been giving me my needed haircut.

I didn't have appetite for food that morning, so when I returned home from barbing my hair, I started feeling hungry. My family was away on holiday, so I was alone, and I had to fend for myself. I headed to the kitchen to warm up some leftover soup that my wife had preserved for me in the fridge. But, as I went to light the gas cooker, I discovered that my cooking gas was bringing a very little flame. It couldn't even warm the soup, talk more of making garri. I had to rush to the gas station to refill my gas cylinder.

By the time I returned, it was already afternoon, and I was getting hungry. I finally warmed up my soup and had a late breakfast, which had turned into lunch by then.

After eating, I dressed up and headed to my office to work on a design project for a client. He had brought me a wedding invitation card to design the previous day, and I had promised to deliver it to him on that Sunday.

I created two different designs for the invitation card, and when I sent the soft copies to my client, he loved them both. He asked me to hold off on printing the cards for now, as he wanted to order more so the I can print all at once.

I left my office at 7:50 pm, feeling satisfied with a day's work well done. As I got to my house, I freshened up, ate my dinner, and rested on my bed, and read some of my colleagues post on steemit communities, comment and upvote some quality contents. I felt grateful for a day that, despite its unexpected twists and turns, it was finally turned out to be a productive day.

Thank you for going through my post. Do have a great time ahead.
