"Our father who art in heaven.....give us this day, our daily bread and forgiveness of our trespasses... ...do not put us into temptation but deliver us from evil." I guess many of us learn this prayer right from childhood.

‎To my surprise, we pray for protection, but we allow our actions to put us into that temptation. Imagine what I come across today. A man has been planning to buy a new mobile phone for a long time and has been saving for it. He has the phone to the engineer to fix it and he plans to collect it on the Second day. What happens will shock.

‎This faithful morning, he dressed up to collect his from a computer village. He took a tricycle to the place, collected his phone, and boarded the tricycle back. Just a few miles before his destination, everything fell apart.

‎Now look at the title of this post again....(a tragic accident caused by impatient drivers). Hold it there... let's start from the beginning.

‎It's Friday, I just arrived at my shop, and I greeted my friend while we laughed and chatted because we came late. It was 30 minutes after 8. As we were talking suddenly we heard. ... Waaaaaaaagbaam😂. Anyedro. 2 tricycles are trying to cross the junction. They intersect each other. Someone died? No.

‎But there are severe injuries. The driver and the passenger are injured. Before you know everywhere became busy. We rush to those injuries and try to subdue the pain. There was no first aid available, so we had to direct them to the nearest health center first before they could argue who was right and who was wrong.

‎You still remember the story of the man who went to collect his phone? He's among the passengers who were injured. He hit his head on the road and blood was coming out of his nose. Bruises were all over his body. His phone, the main thing that brought him out today, was also broken, the screen was scattered and cracked.

‎After they were given medical attention, it was time for arguments on who is responsible and who's to pay for the damages. Everyone claims their rights, which makes the matter worse.

‎At last, a police officer was invited to judge the case, and they were all moved to the station on their tricycle. From the look of things, I know they will spend that money they would have used for something important, but a lack of patience will spend it for them.

‎Just 1 minute of patience would have saved the scenario but look at what they have done to themselves. They were trying to fly to their destination, but look at them, they spent about 3 hours arguing over one place. I believe maybe they have learned a lesson...or they may be because this same incident happened often especially at the road junction.

‎Now take 1 minute and think...what can I learn from this?

‎Some passengers will keep quiet even when the driver is speeding or driving recklessly simply because they are late for work or important occasions, but I want to remind you that if anything happened, there's a high probability that you'll still be late or even miss it.

So why rush? Take your time, take action when you think it is necessary. As a passenger, you also need to watch what's happening on the road. Because it not only affects the drivers but also the passengers. I wish the best, stay safe.

This is my neighborhood watch reporting event around me in Lagos State, Nigeria.

‎I invite @etette @saintkelvin17 @jomm and @josepha to participate if possible.

Eyaa I feel bad for that man that repaired his phone for nothing and now not just the phone but his head too has been wounded I thank God that he didn't lost his life too.

They should have thanked God for saving them from death instead of venturing into unnecessary argument.
