My Work Environment and the people (11/08/2025)

Good morning my country people, your favourite girl @missyleo is here to gist you on how her Monday activities went at work, please endeavor to stay out and read to the end, thanks.

On getting to work that Monday, it was very late that I arrived, I mean an hour past the resuming time. I had to take the back entrance gate, got to the security post, did my change up briefly, while one of the guard asked why I came that late, I just told him there was nothing tangible I was doing at home but just saw myself running late just like that, he laughed and said, "some days are like that".

After I finished changing into my work uniform, I stroll down to where the register book is to sign in before returning to my base, within my mind I knew that the lateness line has been drown and that I will fall into the late category. But to my surprised, the lateness line was not drew and I quickly signed in my name and walked out of the place immediately, I was so happy that I was lucky not to be recorded as late that day.🤩

Then I proceeded into my supervising work, I was to cross-check on the crane that was helping in offloading some mixture for casting.

I was there with them for about an hour plus before I decided to go rest a little at the security post, while I was there, I was still on alert in case of any necessity. I was just on a stand still so that I can view what's ongoing at the unit, sitting down is an error at that particular time.

Few minutes later, one of the safety officers came over to also inspect them and every other person's there including me as well, thank God I was at alert so that I won't be found wanting at anytime.

The safety officer spent exactly 30minutes with us there before he left and went to other location to continue on his work. It was time for lunch break and all the labourers vacate the site and went outside to the canteen to take their lunch.

During the that period of break, some of the workers came around the security post to sit and have their discussion. They were there for so long, approximately an 1 and few minutes, even when the lunch time was over they didn't still wanted to leave, not until one of the guards reminded them of their duty and fall back to work, or else he will draw the attention of the site manager.

The finally agreed to leave and the security guard had to go outside to get himself some snack to eat. There was a supply from some trucks, so I had to go open the gate for the truck to drive in and do their supply. I was at the gate standby until all the trucks drives in and out of the gate before I could go back to my seat.

When the guards had returned back to his duty post, I went on patrol around the site. I was on that patrol till the closing hour, and the workers started going out of the site one after the other till everywhere was calm.

When all the workers have gone, I did my changing up into my normal wear, signed out and went home. On my way home, I saw some of the workers on my way home. They started interrogating me on how I do my work, and who I report to, it sounded funny to me but they were so serious about it, while I laugh at them in a funny way.

When we got to the bus stop, the two of them entered a tricycle and passed and I crossover and walked my way home gently, feeling relieved from all their unnecessary questions.

As I arrived home, I changed up, took a warm bath before I prepare something to eat that night, before I retired to bed successfully, I thank God for making that day a success.
