Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 110: Family Moments
"Family," a united body in one accord.
Family means everything to me. It’s not just about living under the same roof but about sharing love, laughter, and care every day. We may not be perfect, but we stand by each other no matter what. In this post, I just want to share a little about my family, how we live, laugh, and support one another. These are the people who make my life warmer and more meaningful.
What's the best thing about your family, and why? |
|---|
I would describe my family as loving, peaceful, accommodating, exciting, courageous, happy, and lots more. The best thing about my family is the love we share and the unity we embrace. You know that the family that prays together, stays united right? That is my family.
When it has to do with helping each other, everyone is supportive and attentive in bringing solutions. I have always enjoyed the prayer backings from my family and it has kept me strong till date. I can not ask for a better family than the one placed right in my hands on a platter.
This is because my family was founded in love by my father and mother who began the journey together and extended it to their children and it still boils down till date.
What's a fun memory you have with your family? |
|---|
I remember one beautiful sunny afternoon when my mom returned from the market with lots of goodies. After unpacking the bags, she shared among us the children the goodies and then mentioned that the last part of it would be for dinner, when my dad returns fom work.
At dinner, my mom brought it and my dad blessed it and after that, he decided to share a story first. After the story he bagan to ask us some questions like "current affairs", and if you get it right, you pick one nut from the bowl.
It was really a fun moment where we all laughed out loud, guess the answers together and help each other win. My dad at a time said we were all doing team work so the game was over.
What's something you've learned from your family? |
|---|
"Patience" I learned this from my mom directly. She is the most patience human on earth. At a time I asked her where she draws strength from and she said its from the word of God.
I also learned this, "united we stand, divided we scatter." This what my parents kept sounding into our ears while growing up. They made me believe that there is nothing like family and if you don't recognize with any family, then no one knows you anywhere. Love was the bedrock which my family built a home.
I was never a loving person but as time passes, I began to see how God loves me and how my family extend love to me and how they deserve to be treated the same. I have the right foundation now to extend to my children.
What's one thing you'd like to do more of with your family? |
|---|
I just remembered our days of eating together, praying together, laughing and playing together, I would love to have it all again. Eating together was the best part of my life with my family.
I never ate alone in my home, it must have to be with my dad, mom or siblings even till date once I'm at home with family. I enjoyed it because I would always eat the last portion and the biggest meat or fish 🫣. My dad never misses to eat with me and I never misses to eat with him.
When we ate together, we gist and laugh until the food or snack is exhausted. It's a culture in my family that I would love to experience one more time.

Saludos apreciada amiga. Eres afortunada de tener una familia como las que nos describes
Y es realmente como lo dices
No sé trata solo de convivir en un misma casa si no de apoyarse y estar unidos en todo momento. Bendiciones y salud para tu familia.
