SMV Community First Contestant Meetup Nigeria; A Day To Practice and Present Quality Music Video To Steemworld
It's not too late; I remember our training session as SMV contenders from my last film, which shows the overwhelming impression of my final duet with Bee5. To be ready for the D-day, where we will need to go to a studio to shoot a video, we met at a traditional location. We were supposed to achieve perfection at this time.
It all began with an announcement 2 weeks ago on the recent development contestants should take to win the contest. This time we were to pair with each other; our host paired us in the global SMV contestant group. I got paired with @bee5, @whitie got paired with @vicvine5, @us-andrew with glorystar, and our Venezuelan friends got paired as well. @mamun123456, the only Bangladeshi, was told to get a pair, whether it's a Steemian or not, and I think he did that.
For Nigerians over here, we prepared a meeting point like I said, and all of us gathered. As a very punctual person, I was there before anyone else. I met bossj23 in the supermarket where we bought edibles, which were Gala and a fruit juice. We trekked a few kilometres to the place where all our activities were to be carried out. The owner of the place gave us a warm welcome; he was bossj23's uncle. I love the serenity and quietness in the environment. He asked us if we needed electricity, and then he switched on his solar light to enable us to charge our devices if they ran down.
After a few moments of waiting for some contestant to call for direction, we were always ready to answer every call. Bee5, my pair, showed up after me. This gladdens my heart, as I am certain of performing today even though I haven't learnt the song. @Vicvine5 came in next, followed by one of our judges from Nigeria; I can't recall her name now. Finally, Whity arrived. Since no other person called, we had to begin. It was already late, so we took our junk and started practising indoors. Later, we moved outside for the display. Most people were already acquainted with this song at this time, and there was no need for getting lyrics.
I had my lyrics with me this time; many times trying out with it led to several mistakes. I didn't want to repeat that in this recorded performance. We sang beautifully, and all those beautiful voices were recorded. I believe you can distinguish our voices very clearly.

Finally everyone sat down to sing the song I chose, which was PERFECT by Ed Sheeran ft. Beyoncé.

This is how our meetup went. It was a moment of practice, fun, music, and sharing better ways to sing and add creativity to our vocals, like a crescendo and understanding when to harmonise and all of that. It was awesome. Money was invested in getting everyone together. We will meet again; this time it may be a personal song we composed. I want to appreciate each of us for finding time to read and watch to this end.
