Hello great Steemians, I'm here to participate in this contest titled Family Moment, all thanks to @Steem4nigeria for this opportunity. You all will agree with me we have all experienced family moments in life, be they in good or bad scenarios. And today I will write about the good ones.
What's the best thing about your family, and why? |
|---|
The best thing about my family is how we always encourage and support each other during hard times. In life we all have ups and downs, and sometimes we make mistakes and bad decisions in life, but having a family that stands with you through thick and thin no matter your mistakes or how many times you fail and disappoint them gives me enough reason to boast about my family because without them I don't think I would have made it this far.
What's a fun memory you have with your family? |
|---|
The fun moment I had with my family was a long time ago when my father would take my mom and me to the church with his bike. My dad would drive, I would be in the middle, and my mom would sit at the back behind me. That was always during Wednesday service in the evening.
The fun part of it is that after the service he will take us to a suya spot close to the church and buy me suya. My mom will collect the suya, and we will climb on the bike to go home. While on the bike, my mom will give me the suya meat to chew. It was always so delicious in my mouth because I knew it was from her heart; she gave it to me with love and affection, and I was also happy seeing them together happy as husband and wife. It was a fun moment for me, but they didn't think it was a big deal, but to me it was, and back then I felt like I was the luckiest kid in the world to have a parent that cared about me.
What's something you've learned from your family? |
|---|

I've learned love, care, and affection from my family.
I've learned to treasure what I have so I won't lose it.
I've learned to value those that love me genuinely and not to take them for granted because they are rare in today's world.
I've learned to prioritize support and encouragement for those around me.
I've learned from my family how it is important to be there for the people you care about.
I've also learned never to give up on anything in life but to keep on pushing till I get where I want to be no matter the challenges or limitations because I believe there is always a way out from any problem. This is what I learned specifically from my elder sister.
What's one thing you'd like to do more of with your family? |
|---|
One thing I would love to do more with my family is to have more outdoor adventures with them. I would love to take my parents out for shopping or to a place where we will have so much fun together, just the same way we did when I was little. I would also love to take them to a suya spot and buy them plenty of suya, just the way they bought it for me those days. That is what I have always had in mind to do with them, and by the grace of God, I will do it soon.

You're right sweetheart. Most people take what they have for granted until it's gone.
Keep steeming.
I wish you good luck in the contest.
