Hello friends

What is one healthy habit you practice regularly?

Health they say is expensive to maintain but guess what what? It is more expensive to buy good health when your health eventually fails you. Have you been sick before? You will understand that it is better to maintain your health than to live anyhow and fall sick.

Healthy habits helps us maintain our health and one of the healthy habits I practice on a daily basis is exercise.

What are exercise?

These are series of physical activities involves in putting the body to work. This activities helps the flow of blood in the heart, hasten metabolic activities and stay healthy through weight loss or weight gain.

These activities includes running, jogging, planks, seat ups, swimming, weight lifting and many more.

Every morning I make sure I exercise my body for at least 30 minutes - 45 minutes. Exercising every day keeps me fit for the rest of the day. Also exercising also helps me focus and helps my heart beats well circulating blood flow properly.

When and why did you start this habit?

I started this since last year March. Although the first time I started it I wasn't consistent but now I am so consistent with it. I want to keep fit as a young lady.

I started exercising first because I noticed I was adding weight and because I felt I was no longer flexible. When I walk a little I will start painting as if I have been walking all day, I didn't like it at all so I decided to exercise but it didn't last long until I got the motivation from my sweet friend last year.

Aside the fact that I was adding weight I feel like exercising should not be because of any reason, it should be something you do just to stay fit. Exercising is for your own good and their are many benefits of exercising.

Do you know I didn't even know there are exercise for ladies who wants to add weight until I got involved. Exercising the body is so amazing!

How has it improved your physical, mental, or emotional health?

Exercising has improved me physically. Am now more flexible. I noticed there was a part of my body that was hard but now after much exercise that body part is now soft.

Mentally exercise has affected me because I think better now and I am more relaxed. I sleep better too without waking up at intervals unlike before.

What challenges did you face while trying to keep up with it?

It's no news that when we are trying out something for the first time there must be challenges because we are not use to it.

I faced some challenges on my journey to keeping fit through exercises. Some of the challenges I faced includes;

  • Body Pains

I went through series of body pains on the first week of starting the exercise. It wasn't an easy one for me at all. But as I continued the pain reduced and practically stopped.

I remember one morning after exercising I could not even stand up from the bed. I was screaming for help, I felt like I was paralyzed, but later I realized I wasn't even though all through that day I didn't go out. I just rested my body.

  • Been Consistent

I also faced the challenge of been consistent because I had time constraints most times. So I was faced with skipping my exercise to meet up for other activities for some days.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start this habit too?

My advice for anyone who wants to start up the habit of exercising is that you need to make up your mind that you really want to start exercising.

Secondly, when the pains comes, know that it is only a sign to show you that you are doing well and that your body recognizes that something is going on.

Thirdly you must also know the kinds of exercises that suits why you are exercising, therefore not all exercises are for you. For weight loss or belly fat, there is exercise for you and for weight gain in a particular body part there is an exercise so know the difference.
