My Neighborhood Watch #117 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello fellow steemians and members of this prestigious community how are you doing today? I hope all is well!? Happy new week. Before I continue I want to thank @xkool24 for organizing this amazing contest in this prestigious community. I am here to share with you the report of event of this week in my locality. This event just took place recently and has been on the news. I decided to share it with you guys here.

The demolition of Urua Ebod Market in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State happened sooner than expected due to the arrogance of some chevon sellers who felt they were more powerful than the government.

Although the government had given a three-month grace period for relocation to the new site, a few traders protested and even obstructed the construction company. They didn't listen. They took the government authority for granted.

Unfortunately, this sudden action has brought hardship to other traders who complied with the relocation notice and never anticipated the demolition so early. Many marketers have been displaced, with their tables, large umbrellas, and other valuables lost.

My sympathy goes out to them. Especially those who were obedient. Then government would not have taken them unaware and so sudden. At least they should have given them the durable time so that it won't affect the innocent ones. Now both the stubborn ones and the innocent ones are going through the same fate. May God see them through.
