Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 108 : The choice of companionship or solitude; which suits you best?

Hello steemians and fellow members of steem4nigeria community. Greetings to everyone. I'm here to share my
views on this topic for this week. I want to thank @steem4nigeria for organizing this wonderful contest. this will give me the opportunity to express all that was kept inside of me patterning to this topic. I love this topic. I just hope you enjoy reading my contribution.

What do you think are the biggest advantages and disadvantages of living alone compared to living with someone?

To everything in life there's pros and cons. Here are a few pros and cons of living alone.

Pros of living alone:

• When you live alone there's no compromise in listening to the music of your taste with the right volume for your listening pleasure.

• Sleeping anywhere and anyhow is another advantage of living alone. Nobody will interfere with your freedom of sleeping anywhere you like. This is something you can't do when living with someone else.

• Privacy is one of the most important aspect of living alone. So we gain such advantage in full when we take that independence freedom. We get self-respect when we move in and stay alone.

• When you live alone you won't experience late night waiting. what am I trying to say here? What I means is that when you live alone you sleep any time you like. Nothing like waiting for someone or roommate to return from anywhere at late night.

• You have complete freedom on the decision on how you want to set/decorate your space. You can't have such complete freedom if you're sharing the apartment with someone else.

• Complete freedom and independence is what you will gain. This come with tremendous role to play for being alone and doing everything you want at anytime you want. And living alone can definitely provide freedom and independence to a person without any issue.

• Since you're now living alone there will be no worries with the fear of sharing things with someone else. You have absolute control over all your properties. And you only use them alone. You can now maintain your stuffs the way you love to.

• No more rules from parents or roommate. Nobody tells you what to do or what not to do. You own your own empire so you are the only one to decide for yourself.

• You can enjoy solitude time when necessary. Sometimes we want quiet time. Yes you can achieve that anytime of the day if you're staying alone.

• Eating is another aspect. You can eat anywhere in your apartment without anyone lecturing you on where to eat and why you shouldn't eat where you choose to eat.

Cons of living alone:

• Living alone isn't all that fun. You will loose the opportunity of getting meaningful help. Nobody around you to assist you in the house. Especially with the house chores.

• The lack of safety can be one of the issues one can face while living alone. This is not a good idea.

• Loneliness is another problem. If you're not strong enough to stay all by yourself and handle things all alone then you're going to feel left out and probably want the company of others.

• Just like the brother of loneliness, boredom will hunt you until you feel like having a roommate or somebody around you. Your daily routine becomes boring that you feel like having someone around you who could at least join you in you daily routine.

• One of the disadvantages of living alone is you're all by yourself. Nobody to keep you company when the need for that arises

Do you believe living with someone helps improve emotional well-being, or can it sometimes limit personal growth? Why?

• Emotional struggles: Regular conflict or lack of proper communication can be draining and detrimental to your mental health. If this continues for a long while then it will mess with your all-round wellbeing because all of you life depends on your mental health.

• Suppressed individuality: Being with the wrong person can cause you a lot of brouhaha. It will stunt your growth. A relationship that suppresses your sense of self or discourages you from pursuing your goals can limit your personal growth. So staying alone is better than damaging yourself.

• Declined self-esteem: This will make you underestimate yourself. An unhealthy relationship can negatively impact your self-worth, making you feel undervalued. Therefore reducing your ability in believing in your strength and self-worth.

• Detachment: Dealing with some partner can affect your entire life. Over time, a toxic or codependent relationship can lead to a vicious cycle of isolation, making it even harder to connect with others. This will make it hard for you to start and create a new relationship. This are a few disadvantages of living with someone else Instead of staying alone.

Though this doesn't mean that staying with someone isn't good. It's a personal choice. Family and friends can be of help in times of need. we can't abandon them completely.

At what stage in life do you think it’s best to live alone, and when is it better to share your space with someone?

Once you feel inside of you that you're old enough to leave home, then do it. Mind you, don't make that decision from external pressure else you will definitely regret it. Make sure your strong enough to handle things alone. You're up to adulthood. You can handle bills and tax without begging. This decision is not for people who don't have anything meaningful to do with their life. You must be busy with something that makes you spent your time wisely.

As an adult once you know you're ready to settle down with a partner or companion then you can now take the decision of living with someone else. Make sure this this decision is not from external pressure. Be really sure that you're the one who made this decision from your inner willingness. Don't let anyone force you into what you don't want at the moment.
I'm not saying you should cherish living alone until you forget you need a partner. No! That's not what I'm insinuating.
Once you have what it takes to get a companion. just do so.

If you had to choose between peace and companionship, which would you prioritize in your living situation and what shaped that choice?

I prefer peace. I prefer living alone to having a companion. The freedom that I've gotten ever since I was done with my tertiary education is something I cherish with all my heart. I can't trade it for anything else. I remember when I was living with my girlfriend back then in school. It was fun though but that wasn't right according to tradition. I shouldn't be living with a girl I'm not married to. We were both naive and young to understand, especially my girlfriend. She always wanted to be with me almost all the time.

Throughout the years of living alone I have realized that staying alone males you highly productive.
As an artist I have been able to create artworks that I wouldn't be able to do if I had a roommate or companion. I'm really serious about what I'm saying. Ideas comes to me when my brain is at rest.
Choosing to stay alone has boost my creativity and productivity time. That's personal. I might not know how it works for other people.
