Hero without a cape || Héroe sin Capa [Eng /Esp]
Not all heroes wear capes; some hide in the corners of our homes, among cables and screws. That day, mine was inside the washing machine, silent and stubborn, refusing to do its job.
The water filled, the drum spun, but the wash never began. Something in me already suspected the culprit: the door sensor, that little sentinel that decides when the machine is allowed to work.
I approached the old and faithful Samsung, companion of so many everyday battles, and confirmed my suspicion. The sensor wasn’t responding. It was time to intervene.
Calmly, I removed the rubber seal, set the cables aside, and there it was: a tiny white device with a red connector, silent yet essential. I took it carefully, cleaned the damp contacts, and placed it back firmly.
I closed everything, took a deep breath, and pressed “Start.” The drum answered, spinning as before. And so, without witnesses or applause, I experienced one of those small victories that give meaning to routine: the washing machine had come back to life.
Well done! It will work the next 10 years.
I hope so, my friend, God willing, since buying a new one costs a little more than a kidney.
