Planet Organic Haul with prices
Hi, Food community,
I don't know about you but I am always in conflict whether I should buy organic food that is more expensive, or be more frugal and buy discounter food, but then I feel bad because the staff there earns very little and has to put up with a lot of crap, also I prefer supporting organic agriculture. So here is my mini haul:
- Marigold Engevita Yeast B12 £3.99
you have seen this in many many grocery hauls I did on here and it is basically because I go through it like its air, LOL
I use it for a lot of sauces, and also vegan scramble, it gives food a little cheesy taste, I LOVE THIS, I always get the one. that is fortified with vitamin B12 because I always forget to take my supplements and a Vegan diet doesn't include B12 unless the food is fortified with it. So I guess I am trying to compensate for my scatterbrainedness, haha
- Biona Coconut Milk Mini 200ml £1.29
this is definitely a splurge and you can get coconut milk a lot cheaper but I was there and couldn't be asked to go to another store to pick it up. I love Biona products. I get black beans from that brand a lot as you can't get canned black beans in a lot of smaller supermarkets in the UK.
- Biona Pumpkin Gnocchetti £4.69
These are amazing with the Butternut squash and sage sauce!! you don't even have to boil them, just fry them in a pan with oil or butter
- Clearspot Smoked Tofu 225g £2.85
Smoked tofu is my favorite for scramble.
- Clearspot Plain Tofu 450g £2.99
I use plain tofu for every dish that requires the tofu to blend in a little, for example, stir fry.
- Taifun Basil Tofu 200g £3.99
This one is so good in sandwiches or with tomato salad, tonight I will eat it with some homemade soup. This brand used to do tofu with olives, but I haven't seen this one in ages! it was seriously addictive.
- GoVegan Chocolate Croissants £5.69
I was so excited when I saw them but unfortunately, they have this weird orange flavor that a lot of packed croissants have and I am not too hot on that!
