It's another day of consistently learning to become a YouTuber. If I had had this knowledge way back in 2020 when I published my first-ever written song about coronavirus, then maybe I would have had millions of naira by now. Godus to Walictd for sharing with us every single step to climb to the stage of monetisation as a YouTuber. I really appreciate it.

My Script

So last week I wrote a script which I will be sharing. I will be sharing a script here and also a finished work from practising those scripts. Before now I had already prepared my equipment and location. Since most videos that shared my niche were on either a natural background or a film trick background that makes every creation real, I decided to choose an outdoor skirt with a real, natural background.

Let this song be your prayer today, Favour by Lawrence Oyor.

Opening (Setting the Tone)
  • Visual: Me standing erect in a calm and serene environment, preparing to sing.

  • Opening Sentence (Narration): This narration below will be typed fast on the screen to captivate my audience.

"In moments of stillness, when the world fades away, a song rises from within—the song of surrender, of hope, of faith."

  • I began by adding an overlay of myself grounded in spirit by praying, eyes close for some seconds.

  • The moment transit to me standing still with calmness as I sing the first part of the lyrics as I sing I close my eyes gently to feel connected to the realm.

  • As I close my eyes and raise my hands sideways, tilting my head up as if I am receiving the song and preparing to let it flow through you.

  • The camera focus should be up to my waist to capture the calmness in my expression and then Zooms to magnify my face overlay will i keep singing:

  • While singing: I move my hands gently. Move your hands, palms facing upward, as if you're receiving something divine.

  • As the song progresses, I add a clip where I am praying, placing my hands on the tree banks; later, I switch over to the original clip where I stand.

  • Then I move the switch over to another clip where I am still singing and then placing my hands on my head praying; at this point the camera moves very close to my face to show my expression.

  • The singing should feel effortless, because the main clip where I sang shouldn't be added so much because standing still without an audience for a call and response kind of song will make it not attractive for viewer on my own analysis of other channel of my niche, at this point I act like you’re being carried by the music. The voice should be clear, tender and powerful—letting the song speak for itself.

  • A slow music fade-out is made, and an effect is added as if it is ending the closing remark; a blurry moment is formed where I display a portion from the scripture as a closing remark.

Psalm 84:11, For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. No good📖 thing will hewithhold from those who walk in integrity.

  • Lastly an in-video display of stickers is made to communicate to the viewer to like, subscribe and share with friends.

Confidence On The Camera

I stood straight in front of the camera, with my wireless mic to filter only my sound out. My headset was there to make me listen more to myself while I sang. The outdoors gave proper lighting to my video. At the beginning and the end of the song, I actually stood still; at some point, I changed my position while I still sang. Actually, the main clip where I sang didn't have many changes, but other short clips did.

My video is a 3-minute video, shot in a TikTok video format or YouTube Reels format, based on the message it intends to pass to my audience.

My Intro; How it started, Style of Edit, Intro and Outro

Shooting spot

For a video like this, the instrumental is to begin for a few seconds before the vocalist comes in, and in a situation like this, making my audience see me standing still while the instrumental keeps on playing is a bad way to start. For me, if I am the audience, I will swipe to the next video because it's not captivating, so instead of standing still, I made a separate clip which I added as an overlay of a main image.

  • Overlay 1: A video of me praying with eyes closed and something like thunder coming out of my eyes. The camera moves closer and switches to another over still on the same position of me still praying.

  • To captivate my audience more, I added a typewritten inscription with a typing sound effect, like what I said in my script.

Remember?

"In the moment of stillness, when the world fades away, a song rises from within, the song of surrender, of hope, of faith."
  • The remain continues, then a closing fade-out of the instrumental in the closing. In a song like this you don't have to tell your audience to subscribe audibly but with stickers and after adding my closing remark, which was
Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield, the LORD will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from those who walk in integrity.
  • Since most of the parts of the clips needed to be cut and joined and added as an overlay, a few transitions were added, although the clip overlay transition was already in place. For background music, my aim is to cover the original songs, so what I did was extract the instrumental and play it via an external speaker while I sang.

The intro and outro of my video took a different shape of fade-in and fade-out. I ran a check on the video to ensure it is neat. For this video, lovers of this content will definitely make it go viral by continuous watching.

This music will make you feel better. 'Let This Be Your Prayer Today' is the title of the cover I chose to make of this Lawrence Oyor song. Many of us have forgotten that, as followers of God, we are expected to trust that he is always willing to help and would always grant our requests. The person occupying the throne sends his angel charge over us to safeguard us every day, not because of our actions. As you listen to this song, I pray that your trust and hope will be restored. Bruh, this is awesome. Don't know about the task given in the challenge, but you have made an awesome video, maybe 16:9 would have done it❤️. A creative video sir

Thank you so much, I haven't seen in the challenge where we were told to make our video in 16:9, but since the contest creator said it should have been this way I have no reason to argue..
