This is second to the point where we no longer need to sell Steem to have money. This is massive if investors were able to realize this. They can give a meaningful world while they reap rewards (in the form of curation and content rewards).
The power-up thing has been a struggle especially to the new users and the ongoing pandemic. In our country, the pandemic was mismanaged and lots of jobs were lost without adequate support. This is why I totally understand that they are cashing out their SBD earnings.
But once we get over our financial woes, my long-term goal will start to be realized. I have cashed out my first earnings here to support my Steemit shirts promotion and some of my daily expenses but in the long run, I'm completely bullish in increasing my stake.
