The Indonesian Flag Raising and Lowering Ceremony in Bireuen Was a Success.

The Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) in Aceh Province successfully held the Indonesian Flag Raising and Lowering Ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The ceremony took place at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space Field (LRTH), Kota Juang District, on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

The Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis, ST, served as the Ceremony Inspector. Second Lieutenant Arius Adam, S.Tr.Han, served as the Ceremony Commander, and Second Lieutenant Jamaluddin as the Ceremony Officer. The Flag Raising Company Commander was First Inspector Ridwan, SE (Head of Unit 1 of the Bireuen Police Department).

The Indonesian flag bearer for the flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was Salwa Miranda, a student at MAN 3 Bireuen. The other three members of Group 8, tasked with raising the flag, were Martukis, a student from SMAN 1 Gandapura.

Rizki, a student from SMAN 1 Bireuen, raised the red and white flag, and Rafli Pasya Lubis, a student from SMA N 3 Bireuen, served as the Danpas (Chief of Group 8). Meanwhile, the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution was read by Ziaul Fahmi from the Bireuen National Student Association (KNPI), and the prayer was recited by the Head of the Bireuen Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Dr. H. Zulkifli, S.Ag., M.Pd.

The Regent of Bireuen expressed his gratitude to the Flag Raising Team (Paskibraka) and all related parties for the orderly, smooth, and successful culmination of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

"From last night's activities to this morning, we have been blessed with success. This is all thanks to our prayers. The weather was very supportive, and the ceremony itself was incredibly successful," said Mukhlis.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Bireuen, Ir. H. Razuardi, MT, acted as the ceremony inspector for the flag-lowering ceremony. The ceremony proceeded solemnly, with the flag-lowering officers from Group Eight successfully lowering the flag.

Acting as the ceremony commander was First Inspector Mohd. Faris Idris, S.Tr. K., MH; the ceremony officer was First Lieutenant AKP Soeharto, SH; and the flag-raising team commander was First Inspector Ridwan, S.E. (Head of Unit 1 of the Bireuen Police SPKT).

The Paskibraka member tasked with lowering the flag from Group Eight was Aqil Shodiq Al-Mufid, a student of SMAN 1 Bireuen, as the commander of Group Eight.

Following the flag was Fawas Firja Tullah, a student of SMAN 1 Bireuen. The flag-raiser was Syauki Adib, a student of SMAN 2 Peusangan. Raisya Fajri, a student of SMAN 2 Peusangan, was entrusted with carrying the flag tray.

After the Red and White flag was successfully lowered, it was carried to the podium by Raisya Fajri to be presented to the Ceremony Inspector, Deputy Regent of Bireuen, Razuardi.

Having successfully completed their task, the 35-member Bireuen Regency Flag Raising Team (Pskibraka) of 2025 performed a prostration of gratitude.

The touching moment was accompanied by tears from both the Paskibraka members and their parents in attendance.

This moment also served as an expression of gratitude for the happiness, pride, and blessings bestowed by Allah SWT, enabling them to carry out their duties successfully.

Following the flag-lowering ceremony on Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2025, the Acting Head of the Bireuen National Unity and Politics Agency, H. Mulyadi, S.H.M.M., the supervisor of the 2025 Bireuen Paskibraka, expressed his gratitude to several media personnel in Bireuen. "Alhamdulillah," he said, "the Paskibraka team has carried out this sacred task well."

This is the second year that Kesbangpol has been entrusted with carrying out the mandate from the Bireuen Regent to coordinate with all levels of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) throughout the initial and final stages of the Paskibraka (Flag Raising and Lowering) preparation process.

"Thank God, for two consecutive years, the flag-raising and lowering ceremonies have been successful. Although this year we are facing a budget deficit, this has not dampened our enthusiasm to continue doing our best for Bireuen Regency," said Mulyadi.
