Writing: The Team That visited My School On Tuesday 16/09/2025.

The morning devotional activities:

Morning devotional activities are somehow always interesting. The students and the teacher in charge of the devotion always take responsibility for the activities, from the praise and worship to the national anthem and pledge.
I am writing about the visit to the school on the second day of school resumption, which was on Tuesday, 16/09/2025.

After the devotional activities, a non-governmental organisation known as FACT- FOUNDATION FOR ADVANCEMENT, CLARITY AND TRANSFORMATION was introduced. The founder, known as Mr Fact, came up for a presentation with some colleagues, stating their mission, vision and core values.

The leader further stated their aim of visiting the school. It is to inculcate some values into the lives of the students.
These values are:

  1. CLARITY:
Clarity is the ability to see things clearly, to understand your goals and values, and the steps needed to achieve them. As a student, you should have a clear vision of what you want in life and how to get there. Think of it as having a well-defined roadmap that guides you through the complexities of life.
He further explains that the students need to have a clear goal and should work towards it. Thus, it will guide them through school.

  2. LEADERSHIP:
Leadership is the act of positively influencing, motivating, and guiding peers and groups toward a shared goal. It's not just about being in charge but about building confidence, encouraging collaboration, and setting a positive example through effective communication and decision-making.

  3. INTEGRITY:
Integrity means consistently doing the right thing by being honest, fair, responsible, and respectful in all academic and personal activities, even when no one is watching. This involves developing strong ethical principles and moral values to guide decisions, such as refusing to cheat, avoiding plagiarism, admitting mistakes, and upholding a commitment to truth and fairness in their studies and interactions with others.

  4. MINDSET:
'Mindset' means the collection of beliefs and attitudes that shape their approach to learning and challenges, significantly influencing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

  5. BRAVERY:
Bravery is doing what is right or necessary even when you feel scared, nervous, or afraid. It involves having the mental and emotional strength to face challenges, stand up for yourself or others, or overcome difficulties. It doesn't mean being fearless, but rather acting despite your fear to achieve a goal or do the right thing.

After the presentation some pictures and gifts of an exercise book were given to the senior secondary school students.

Another visitor came in to brief the students on the need for having a database system.
A database is an organised system where information is being stored.
The students need a school database for the purpose of storing academic records.
The students were asked to submit information about them to the school.
After the presentations, the students recited the Lord's Prayer and dispersed to their classes.

My advice:

Students should always endeavour to be in school at resumption, as many have missed out on the activities done this week. The gifts and the knowledge are very important. If you read this article, please put it into practice.
