RE: The Current Steemit, Inc. Employee (SRs, CCs, Challengers) Statistical Data

The SRs Recruitment

Thank you for outlining the recruitment process of SRs, especially the early history when SRs were introduced that they were recruited from CRs (Country Reps). I have gone deep into the steemitblog post list and found a post uploaded on 20 Feb 2023 about the cancellation of CR positions and the launching of SR positions. I was not there when this historic event happened, and I find it an interesting historical fact.

The point is, there aren't that many applicants when it comes to these calls.

So, I think this is more or less the same thing that we, Team True Colours 5 (me, @wakeupkitty, @solperez) faced in May when curating with sc08, who already had a curation plan (which was a legacy and development of the same work through previous True Colours teams), which at some point had to fit with what was on the menu.

... nobody wants to be elected.

Interesting. 😃

The Club

Was it ever a requirement -officially from Steemit Inc.- to include club status as a tag in a post? I myself also don't feel this is an important tag, and like you say, "doesn't make sense", and have never done it (as I recall), never even thought of using it even though I often see other users doing it. I think it must also have a history and has a lot to do with curation tasks in the community, especially with the booming vote that has been in the authority of the community for quite some times.

The Aim

Write, Read and Network. Add pies and chocolate for me. Am always hungry, in the mood for next food. 😃

Thanks

Interesting. 😃

I could swear there were applications and 7 new ones or more. 🤯
Did I miss something or is the team waiting till the present curators finished since @joslud already announced the installmemt of the new SRs including holding the booming votes at the start of June.

It sounds like a very small world or is it: It's a small world after all?

🕐 Reading and thinking before giving my opinion.

  • I'm glad to see the kind of commentators our friend's post attracted.

Replying to you, @wakeupkitty

  • As a bit of humor, I dared to predict that the new SRs would be announced at the beginning of June. Even though I knew it was likely the same ones would remain. (Just like in my country, many elections and the same ones always remain, excuse my mental filter) I also failed in my prophecy. 😂

Yes, I remember reading several things about the new SRs.

  • There were new Steemians who applied.
  • There were reluctance, clarifying that bureaucratic reports were necessary, among other reasons.
  • Many (mostly) old SRs applied again.

I believe in Steemit as the platform for creatives: arts, literature, technology, in short, in all areas and for "everyone who wants to belong. But I'm also a realist; I also stay here because it generates profit for me, and that's a reality and a valid goal for many. I also understand that measures must be taken to keep Steemit strong and firm over time.

Here is something totally wrong. I did not see the announcement of SRs and again you send me the message it's already decided. Let's blame the translator.

If the same are chosen it proofs several things and the main thing is that that the "complaining" about scam, farming is fed and kept alive by steemitblog.

I just had a look at the list of those who applied and I have my top 10 and can add a few more to make it 20. Most of them will not wear all hats and have strong ties with one community or or country.
How about your choice?

Are meassures taken to keep Steemit strong or are we in the middle of the next coupe?

Like you I like to see the freedom of creativity and real committed people, committed to their niches and not a billion of unwritten rules with false promises. It's clear where the biggest rewards go while the investment and (personal) growth is the lowest.
It's a long way to PoB unless it stands for farming and scamming.

is the best thing I can do and continue my way since after all those years doing the right thing I still feel like that good child always being ignored by St Nicholas and his helper Zwarte Piet giving candies to those who misbehave, shout and complain while the sweet children are ignored.

I find this thing about politicians not changing even after so many elections to be a sad but ‘funny’ fact. But maybe as weisser-rabe mentions, not many want to run other than those guys, in line with your point, ‘Many (mostly) old SRs applied again’. Not many want to be elected. Or, maybe those guys are simply the best choices there are. Haha.

59 applications for new SRs lineup position were submitted during the application acceptance period. I wrote about it : The 2025 Steem Representative Applicants Statistics. I failed to put information on how many of the applicants are currently SRs. So I went back to check and I present you the info as seen in the image below, that 20 of total 59 applicants are currently SRs. So, what @joslud said, "Many (mostly) old SRs applied again." is true, that 76.92% of current SRs (26) are re-applying for the same post. And they are 33.90% of total applicants.

I don't think there's a problem with an SR reapplying, as long as they know they can add value to the platform's activities.

Among the most recently selected SRs, I've seen cases where they resign because they no longer want to share activity reports (they've never said it's mandatory). Everyone is free to do so or not. I don't understand why they get caught up in something that isn't common.

Reports only show information for those who are interested; for example, your reports may be interesting to some, and not to others—just a bunch of tables. My friend @joslud always shares reports, as he believes it's important to show them. The same goes for SR reports; for some, they may be of interest, for example, to the Steemit team, who should be aware of each individual's performance.

I also don't understand why they object to SRs managing Steemcurator accounts. Anyone with the moral authority to do so should have no problem.

The requirements for a user to be a curator are to go beyond their favorite topics and look beyond their friends.

And here again I read among the most recently selected SRs

I wonder how to interpret this. @josluf remarked the new SRs are selected... Since you work for the same boss, I am curious to hear what you are cooking or have cooked.

I also wonder what the value is you add to the platform. The interesting thing is that I never see you show up in the part of the Steemit world I am, live, go to, visit.
So what is your value next to???

I doubt you look beyond your favourite topic, let alone your country. There is zero interest for 51 European countries, western countries, good communities, youwould rather seem to leave than exist, and I don't even say grow.

As a Steem Representative is your main task to represent the Steem whitepaper and it's owner, Justin Sun, to be there for everyone not for a select group and keep the gang alive, ruling and filling the pockets since that is farming as well.

May I ask how many dollars you invested in buying Steem and SBD? Your posts are not that special, unlike what many others post. So what makes you so valuable?

A creative weekend with or without booming votes and bonuses

🍀♥️

P. S. i just read your SR report. I find it far from interesting, not very well written and kind of insulting to state that SRs who didn't post weekly to receive the fat reward(you mean @weisser-rabe) are not sticking to the rules. I assume draining Steemit and flooding it with messages and reports with zero info is valuable for the Steem eco? Before I forget to ask, do you burn your steem and is that your value perhaps?

Oh Kitty, my little poisonous snake ;-))) I think everyone understands what you're barricading yourself against and for. I share a large part of your criticism in equal measure.

But I don't like to deny people who don't share my ideas any value (for the Steemit universe). (Questioning is okay ;-))) In my opinion, Josè is a good guide through the labyrinthine meanderings on the Steem: whenever I had a question that nobody else could answer - Josè either knew the answer or made himself knowledgeable. That is valuable. Everyone can use this source, everyone can benefit from it.

Moreover, different types of users can co-exist here in their own way, without imposing their beliefs on each other. There should be room for many opinions, viewpoints and perspectives. That's also what I mean by decentralised and liberal. I think we need to stop blaming each other. Does it hurt us if someone else enriches themselves with 5 Steem? Hardly. We have to handle things ourselves as we see fit - in the hope that others will join in and that it will become a functioning system. Our system. Fuck what it's supposed to be for others!

It's better I don't respond to this.

Hoooola!

Saludos.

Saludos amiga Marcy.

I don't say there's any problem with it. It's everybody's (including current SRs as stated in steemitblog's post) right to step forward. What I do is purely statistics. People sometimes needs to know different angle of information. I just so happen to love statistics. I bring the data, what people do with it is up to them.

And I added 2 more images to the above comment.

Reports only show information for those who are interested;

EXACTLY! Now you get the point, Bro. So, I guess you understand that I meant no offense. Are you offended? Please just take this report as a bunch of crap. :)

No, I'm not talking about the representatives for you; it's an analysis I'm doing, taking into account the comments.

I'm sure you share numbers, just as I do with the Booming report, so everyone can draw their own conclusions, especially when it relates to the well-being of an ecosystem like Steemit.

Hugs.

Here we go.
The ecosystem YOU have. Is it always about you and your group?

If 66% is new it's made clear that there is interest but we should also not forget the rules set for the application next to the fact many do not even know the SR exists and those present (known) act like CRs and many if not most have zero interest in other ciuntries and cultures.
