The Diary Game Wednesday, June 19, 2025: Lecture trip Between Mechanical Vibration and System modeling and simulation
Greetings to all fellow Steemians here, may your days be more enjoyable and all activities run smoothly
This morning, Wednesday June 19, 2025, I started my day earlier than usual. The clock was still not too bright when I woke up. After washing my face and calming myself down, I quickly performed my morning prayers, preparing my inner energy for the long day ahead. It didn't take long before I started getting ready for class: putting on my clothes, checking my gear, and making sure my laptop and lecture notes were in my bag.
The atmosphere of learning mechanical vibration
At 7:10 a.m., my favorite motorcycle had left my hometown in Tambon Baroh. The journey from home to campus as usual took me through several villages and sub-districts. The road was quite quiet this morning, and the weather was quite sunny. I stopped for a moment at the Batuphat gas station to refuel. The sound of other motorbikes, the smell of the morning, and the wind blowing from Bukit Rata became my traveling companions on the way to my place of study: Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe.
Arriving on campus, the first lecture of the day was Mechanical Vibrations. The classroom was filled with friends from the same department. The lecturer explained the concepts of frequency, amplitude, and the response of mechanical systems to external forces. The discussion flowed, and the learning atmosphere was lively.
As noon approached, my stomach began to beckon me. I stepped into the campus cafeteria. A simple but warm menu became my lunch break companion. After eating, I took a leisurely walk to the campus mosque, Al-Bayaan Mosque. This mosque is located in the center of the campus environment, surrounded by shady trees and green grass that is cool to the eye. It was there that I performed the Dzuhur prayer with a peaceful heart.
Praying at Al Bayyan mosque on campus
After praying, I continued today's academic activities with the second course: System Modeling and Simulation. But this time we didn't study in the classroom as usual, but in the computer lab. The lecturer is Mr. Hamdani, who is also the Head of our Department. On the computer screen, the ANSYS software was open displaying colorful simulations depicting the deformation and stress distribution of an object. I really enjoyed this learning process. The simulations we ran made science feel more real, as if it could be touched and measured. We learned how a system would react to loads and forces, and how to analyze it digitally through advanced software.
Around 4 p.m., class time ended. It coincided with Asr time, and I went straight home. After arriving home, I took a short break and then filled my time with light activities. Sometimes it's just scrolling through social media, replying to friends' messages, or writing little notes on Steemit-a platform where I share my thoughts and stories.
The atmosphere on the way home from campus
In the evening, after eating and praying, I had time to hang out lightly with friends. We sat together, discussing while working on the report assignment from today's course. It wasn't too hard, but it was quite challenging because it involved analyzing the results of the simulation we had done in the lab earlier in the day. Sipping sachet coffee and laughing, we organized the report sentence by sentence.
Today may seem like an ordinary day to others. But for me, every second counts. From the morning commute down the village streets to the late night with coursework in hand, everything is part of the struggle towards the future. Life as an engineering student is hectic, but behind all the busyness, there is great hope-to be a useful human being, and make my parents proud.
That's what I can share for this time. Many thanks to all the friends who have stopped by here.
Greetings @cymolan
