The Diary Game - Monday, July 28, 2025: A Bright Start to the Week
Hello Steemit friends, good night and best wishes to all Steemians. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, allowing you to carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share my daily activities on this happy day.
Monday is certainly a very special day for Muslims because it marks the birthday of the perfect human being, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was a messenger of Allah SWT who brought Islam to all corners of the world. Therefore, some scholars recommend that we as Muslims observe a voluntary fast on Mondays, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) always did. I began this special day as usual by waking up to the sound of the call to prayer from the loudspeaker of the Babul Huda Mosque in Panggoi. My house is not far from the House of Allah, making the call to prayer very audible.
Then I immediately got up and walked to the bathroom to clean myself. I also performed ablution and prepared for the morning prayer in congregation. However, before leaving the house for the mosque, I first performed the two rak'ah prayer at home. After performing the obligatory morning prayer in congregation, I went straight home for a light walk. Upon arrival, I took a moment to lie down with my still-sleeping baby, Raffa. Then, I prepared to leave the house for my assignment as the clock was approaching 7 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. The weather at the beginning of the week was quite sunny when I left for my assignment.
The streets were still relatively quiet this morning because there weren't many people out and about. This allowed me to arrive early at one of my favorite coffee shops not far from the school where I've worked for almost twenty years. I stopped by Dr Kupi Espresso for breakfast and a cup of black coffee. Shortly after paying my bill, I left the coffee shop and headed straight to the school where I teach. As usual, every Monday, a flag ceremony was held before class. Shortly after the bell rang, I helped direct the students to form a ceremonial line toward the school field.
After the flag ceremony, the students were given a moment to rest until the bell rang for the change of classes. While waiting for the class schedule, I performed two rak'ahs of the Dhuha prayer as an additional act of charity for the day. Then, when the bell rang for the change of classes, I resumed my teaching duties in grade XI-2 for two hours. As the call to prayer approached midday, I left the schoolyard for the Al Makmur Mosque. After the prayer, I picked up Raffa and escorted him home. After that, I returned to school until I went home at the end of the school day. After that, I just did various routine activities with Raffa.
