Sacrificing My Saturday To Join The Assembly Of Co-believers(JW.org) And Visiting The International Stadium For The First Time

It was a memorable experience. Let me begin this way. If you were to ask me how the Jehovah's Witness convention at Akwa Ibom State International Stadium went, I would say that I could see through every scripture passage that was said, and the things that were discussed were true.

One of the things that sets this place apart is how much the Great Commission—one of the things our Lord urged us to do before he left—is instilled and practised here. I am not a fan of criticism, and if I do, then I must have checked through the scripture to confirm that the saying is true, just like the church in Ephesus did. From childhood, I think if my invitation were to be put in a basket, then it would overfill. I have been invited several times, but either I am not of free will or engaged to be here, but as God would have it, I am now here to listen to God's word. Another sacrificial Saturday… How it all began!!!!
Some days ago this convention flier was sent to the Nigerian national and our school group. The person who invited us to this conference, @bossj23, who has been a witness since birth, did a great job. It takes one who knows the benefit of serving God and winning souls to invite people to be saved, revive this cold generation and reaffirm their position in Christ.

This program was tagged "Pure Worship" and was a three-day convention, but I actually attended on the 2nd day, which was a Saturday and somehow a free day for me. In the picture uploaded on the group, I saw two non-witnesses, and I was glad they showed up. I had the intention of coming a day before this day, but something came up, so today I was called very early to prepare and show up on time, as there would be a free bus. I tried as much as I could, but it turned out that the bus left very early, showing commitment to service.
Over 17 thousand people gathered here
At first I thought the time of the free transportation departure was the time for the start of the programme, but it turned out that they departed on time to get a good place to sit. This stadium is about 30,000 in capacity; I think there has been a reconstruction to increase its capacity. I waited for bossj23 to meet me at the junction that leads to Nung Udoe from the ring road, and finally he came with a bike, and this bike drove us down to the stadium.

We entered here on time, took a few pictures and then went inside to find a place to sit. I first watched a music video presentation that explained the purpose of the convention, and I really enjoyed the sermon. It was about Jesus' disciples who loved pure worship, and their names were John the Baptist, Nathaniel, Andrew, Philip, Peter, John and James. This section was handled by different preachers. I love these preachers because they made a lot of points about why each of these disciples is a figure worthy of emulation in worshipping in purity and why they were known to be lovers of pure worship.

Let me give a reason why John was known as a lover of pure worship. John was a son of Zebedee; that fateful day, his mother, having seen his son's commitment to following Christ, came and pleaded that Jesus should let his son (John) sit at his right hand and the other son at the left. His mother saw how committed John was to following before this request.
After this was a session that was handled by a preacher from Canada, and this was baptism. He spoke from Acts 19:4 and also told us the essence of water baptism as a Christian as a sign that we understand what we believe in and are showing our rebirth in him, and by baptising, we adopt pure worship.

The service was a long and impactful service; each symposium from the order of symposium spoke entirely about pure worship. Another part I benefited from was the lesson from Jesus' first miracle, which was humility, generosity, and compassion. This attribute should be emulated by lovers of pure worship. I will end it here. After the service, photos were taken. I met Ma Ngoenyi and family; I was given a very delicious portion of lunch, and I was so blessed by this. I met a lot of Steemians, both visitors and witnesses, and lastly, bossj23 met me, and we ate another lunch together.
I actually informed Ma Ngoenyi that I was going to leave, but I ended up staying until the service was over. Thanks be to God, the clip shows people on a big screen; apart from the drama, these preachers were present, even the white man who sacrificially paid his way down to Nigeria from Canada, and they were only shown on the screen for everyone to see. The total attendance after counting by the kingdom aides was over 17,000 people. What a massive gathering... Thank you, @bossj23, for inviting me...
Wow. What can I say? Little did I know your little eyes and mind evaluated everything. I've been a witness since birth as you've rightly say and it was a pleasure having you around, to witness the faith strengthening talks about pure worship and the benefits of upholding and cherishing such. In today's world, many places of worship to God carry out commercial services in the form of salary payment and from the story of Jesus cleansing the temple from such, we could say he was enthusiastic about pure worship and didn't want the place he worship his father to be a place where business is done. I still remain elated that you joined us for the first time. I think you felt the loving brotherhood. Can't wait to see you join us next year, this time together with @whitie and @dwings.
