Basketball memories from one year ago.

In 2024 I played basketball in the street countless times and I enjoyed all those moments. You know there are two kinds of streetbasketball, one of them is playing basketball in a standard court along the street and the other one is playing basketball in the street itself, I mean the road in the street where people do pass. So the kind of streetbasketball am going to talk about today is the one played in the street where people pass through.

Playing basketball in the street was fun.

Last year I played in the street with some of my ex-classmates from senior high school and most of them are already in the university. I enjoyed playing with them because I always had peace of mind and also more opportunities to play and try new things unlike the one in a far distant place that's a standard basketball inside a primary school. Alot of matured guys play basketball there, my age mates used to be scarce there but now they are gradually increasing.

So the day we play basketball in the street that I took this picture, the weather was very friendly unlike the first day I played basketball there that rain fell heavily to an extent I didn't enjoy the game and I didn't play much because I arrived there late. At least I played something that day and I was sure the next time I will come there I will have alot of fun which I eventually had. In the video I posted you will notice that we were all amateurs then and gradually we are improving.

We played basketball that day for more than 2 hours and I was never tired because we do mane substitution. We were five that day and we needed to be two in a team since the road wasn't wide and we had only one net. So this is what we normally do when we are five. One person will take pictures and record videos of the other four playing and then if any of the team scores more than 2 times or is it 3 times? I think I have forgotten.

I know that there's a particular number of times to score will agreed before the person recording can make substitution. When that moment reach one of the players in the losing team will swap with the person recording. If you watch the video below you will understand exactly what I'm saying. The guy talking is the person recording and he was substituted by one of the losing team I have forgotten if it was my team or my opponent's team. This was what we always did till the game ends. For documentary purpose, this is the first time I'm posting a video in steemit since 2022.
