The Diary Game: Making Afang soup And Other Activities(21-09-2025)

Hi, I'm Blessing Isong known here on Steemit as @blezisong. How are you doing? I'm about to share my sunday's diary, please do me the favour of engaging. I woke up early today and did my chores, I brushed my mouth after the chores and went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I was craving Afang soup so I went to my farm and plucked Afang leaves and waterleaf. When I returned to the kitchen, I asked Lilian to help slice the Afang leaves while I rush to the market to buy meat and few other things. I didn't want to send her so they won't cheat her with the meat, I went in to change while Lilian began to slice the Afang.

I went to the market and bought the meat and other things like stockfish, perewinkle, cow skin and garri. I returned and began to prepare those things, I washed and seasoned them and left them to marinate while washing waterleaf. After washing the waterleaf, I placed the pot the meat and other stuffs were inside on fire and left it to cook and I went back to slicing the waterleaf. Lilian on the other hand was done slicing the Afang and began to pound it, too bad I don't have grinder at home so she had to make use of mortar and pestle to pound the Afang.

The soup was ready in some hours, we ate and I took my bath. I felt the need to relax because it was afternoon already by the time I was done having my bath. My neighbors returned from church and that's when I screamed, so today's Sunday! I had forgotten and to me, it seems like a Saturday and I stayed back from church again today. I went in and had my nap, I woke up and began to gist with Lilian, we played games to kill boredom and planned on going to my sister's place that evening. Towards late afternoon, my neighbor's started their generator to pump water and we were asked to come and fetch water if we needed it so I took my empty rubbers to their compound and began to fetch water with Lilian.

In the evening, I took a walk with Lilian to my sister's house but they were not around. It seemed like my fault because I had want to surprise them but getting there, they weren't around. I called to know their location and I was told they had church event that evening and are in the church, I hanged up and went back to my house. I apologized yo Lilian for the stress and when I got home, we began to watch movies. Though there's no light but I had charged my phone when my neighbor started his generator so I was on the safe side. It was dinner time and I didn't crave a heavy meal again for dinner so I made spaghetti.

Something funny happened, I finished preparing dinner at 6pm on the dot and Lilian asked if I'll still eat because I had stopped eating after 6pm because of my weight loss journey but seeing the meal before me, I ditched the plan because this one fall out won't spoil the whole thing right? I should be on bed now but had to relax a bit so I could post my dairy. It's nice having you read my diary, I do not take it for granted.
