Tell your story #60||The Irresistible love

Hey lovely family, it feels so good to be here again. Big shout-out to our wonderful host, @ruthjoe, for always making this space lively. I’m super thankful to her for picking me as one of the winners in the last edition, it really made my day!

True friendship is what I have been praying for. A friend that will love me, tolerate me, care for me, and pay attention to me just for me to talk. A friend that never judges or condemns but corrects my mistakes, encourages me, and comforts me even when I thought all hope was lost.

Meaning of Love and Friendship

Love is a natural feeling without compromising, and it can also be seen as a strong solidarity and cohesion that holds two people together or a group (Altruistic love).

        Friendship

Friendship means a close and trusting relationship between two or more people who care for, support, and enjoy each other’s company.
friendship is having someone you can laugh with, cry to, grow with, and count on through life’s ups and downs.

You are the best gift I got from a social media platform. I never believed in meeting genuine people online because the majority of them are scammers, liars, and pretenders. They will pretend to love you so much just to take advantage of you, whether by resources, taking all you have labored for away from you, causing you pains, heartbreak, depression, and sleepless nights, or faking true love and pretending to love you but that's a fat lie.

But I met someone special, someone with a heart of gold. I call him "my best, my hidden place, my treasure, my crown, my excellency, the best gift the University of Uyo gave me." I will forever give God the glory for creating a special soul, and to his parents you people deserve an award for raising a society, a voice not a noise, a positive impact, a responsible young man.

Our love has grown to a stage of no going back. Even the smallest bread he has, he shares it with me. When the world couldn't believe in me, he trusted me even more than my parents. When I was very sick, the grave was calling my name. People thought I would die, but he stood by my side. I, Juliet, thought I wouldn't make it, but he kept giving me reasons to live. His strength carried me along; he became my strength when my own strength failed me. I was dying in silence day by day. When he raised his voice, he cried for help on my behalf, and behold, people answered him.

His grace carries me in my academic journey. If you are a friend of a rich man, definitely one day you will become rich. That's the case here. I'm not that academically smart—should I say I always feel lazy to read my books? But since I met him, he is the kind of person that reads every day at least three hours, whether there is an examination or not. So, he influences me positively. He has impacted me so much spiritually, academically, and economically. In fact, he has changed me for good, my mindset, lifestyle, and every other aspect.

But sometimes, he broke my heart. One day, I asked him a question: "What if we end up together as couples?" His response broke me down for that period. He said, "It is not possible for us to end up as husband and wife." I asked him why, and he responded, "The love I have for you is an altruistic love. You are like a sister to me, so I can't marry my own blood and flesh or have intimacy with her. My responsibility is to take care of you, love you, provide for you, protect you, and stand by you in times of trouble and difficulties." I broke down in tears. I was not crying because of the rejection but because of the unmerited love I found in his sight.

Nature is so unpredictable. Sometimes you will be deeply in love with someone, but because of one thing or another, both of you can't say yes to forever. But I have found my soulmate, my crown, my royalty, my joy giver, my comforter. Even though we will not say yes to each other one day, I wish we will remain best of friends forever.
