Bridging Hearts: A Class United by Supportive Parents

In every successful classroom, there should be a participative and good students plus a supportive parents. We should not just follow rules and listen to all the lessons, but we should learn how to collaborate with each other and be compassionate at all times. To be honest, in my advisory class this school year, I really encountered lots of challenges. In fact, in our 1 month stay in the classroom, I already brought a student in the guidance office because of some personal reasons. But I tried to settle everything. Those students who dont want to come to school regularly and is already old in their grade level, I sent two of them to ALS school.

During our PTA meeting I am so glad because there were parents who donated something useful in our classroom. Because of that, parents who dont have enough money was saved by the bell.

One parent donated a sponge mop for the classroom and two broomsticks for our comfort room. Sponge mop is indeed important because they will any longer touch the dirty part and it is safe for them.

One parent also donated a new set of window curtain. This curtain made our environment look fresh and the learners are comfortable because they had a classroom conducive for learners.

We also rewired our outlet of our tv part because it is not functioning already. And one parent volunteered that her husband can do it. Two days after our meeting, they visited the classroom to check what is to be fix. Then they went back a day after and already bought an outlet and just change the outlet which is a bit expensive than the old one.

What makes this connection a little special?

It will connect me to the parents of my learners and in that way we could help hand in hand in the coming days especially in giving grades. I totally saw a magic in this bond, and I pray that it will last forever.

Together, we are not just educating minds but we are also shaping lives.
