CELEBRATING OUR CHURCH 35th ANNIVERSARY

Good day steemians!

Our church was built when I was not born. It was led by my ancestors and friends. Most of the family of my mother’s side are pentecostal while my father’s side are Catholic. Yet, we followed mama’s religion because mama insisted it to my father. At first, papa didnt go with us. He will just send us to church every sunday and never get in. When I asked him why, he plainly answered me that he will get bullied by his friends. But because of prayers, everything changed. He was able to conquer all the bullies of his friend and was able to be with us in church every sunday.

And because the church members were growing, our host paster decided to make a bigger church just near their house. The service continue their in Soong, and there is also a service in Dapdap led by my hubby’s family.

And just last week, the church was celebrating its 35th Anniversary. Last year we just had our regular fellowship on our 34th anniversary yet we still gave our pledges for church renovation because of the damages brought by typhoon Odette.

And because of the brethren’s abroad, and the brethrens who already had work, we were able to celebrate our 35th church anniv this year at the same time the renovation was on going.

✨THE FLOW OF THE PROGRAM✨

We started our fellowship around 2 pm and we had visitors more or less 10 churches all in all.

Before we formally started the fellowship, the music team and the pastors of the church were gather together to make a prayer and to offer the celebration to God.

Afterwards, the opening song then started by our Master of Ceremony, the assistant pastor of the church. Then opening prayer.

Moreover, the church pastor welcome all the visitors and let the pastors together with their wife come up on stage to be recognized. They were given a little token of appreciation.

Then, each churches were given the chance to present. And all presented a song. And we. The members of Dapdap church, were the one to present.

After the presentation, the ladies of Dapdap Church led the offertory song.

Afterwards, we then had our praise and worship. We gave glory and honor to God in return to all the blessings He has given us.

And the last part was feeding our soul, giving of Words of God.

The fellowship ended around 6pm.

After the fellowship, we then had a little salo-salo.

While the visitors were eating, we then started the raffle. On the raffle, they can receive fruits, 5 kilos of rice, groceries, vegetables and a lot more.

The goods were given by the members. We had the freedom to bring anything. And we were also informed that we were not included in the raffle.

Then everyone went home with a nice smile and a pure heart.
