PEDAL, PADDLE, PUSH - CEBU's TRIPPLE CHALLENGE

Triathlon has always been a talk last August especially to learners who will do the cheer during the event. All are also excited because they say there were lots of Filipino artist that will be coming over. Over so many years, Cebu has always been a perfect venue of the said sport. In fact, the latest triathlon happened last August.

This exciting event really happened here in our place. Its a thrilling blend with swimming, biking and running. They will swim in the famous Mactan Newtown Beach here in our place, then they will proceed with their biking from the beach going to Soong Road passing cordova then going to CCLEX bridge, then going back to the beach. After the biking they wll run from the beach going to Engaño street then going back to the beach. Some do the three activities alone and some will do it by three, one will do the swimming and the other will do the biking and running. And they will be in different categories.

This triathlon shows camaraderie. While the contestants do the activity, the community and locals as well as the assigned students will cheer from the sidelines. It is more than a competition, but it is as well a celebration that we are united, resilience and the true spirit of Cebu.

Won or lose everyone were already winners because they were able to do the task and reached the finish line. It is already something to celebrate.

In the picture above, I am with my students. We were tasked to do the cheer on the running category. We went their around 6 in the morning and our category started around 9in the morning. We went their early since the road will be close early and those who are staying far cant ride a cab anymore. And it is so hard for us to walk while the activity already started because of so many crowd.

And we were grateful because we were given snacks and lunch and water so we can survive our task. Our designated place was so hot yet we enjoyed doing it because we were all united.
