Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I am going to publish my entry on the fourth week of the Steemit Challenge hosted by @ruthjoe - Deal or No Deal. I will present my argument in this regard regarding breakfast being the most important meal of the day in terms of three debate topics. First of all I think a breakfast brings me many benefits to my health. I always prefer breakfast in the morning as the most important meal of the day. I am not just saying this from my academic education but I am presenting this argument from my own experience.

Is it true that breakfast is the most important meal of the day?


I have many arguments in this regard. First of all I would say that breakfast acts as a storehouse of energy and nutrients for our body. For example: Breakfast breaks our overnight fast and provides the body with energy sources. Which gives us the strength to work throughout the day. Not only this, it also stores essential nutrients in our body and helps us stay energetic throughout the day. Also, I have read in various studies that breakfast helps us a lot in increasing our concentration throughout the day.

My Ideal Breakfast.

The logic of how it increases concentration is - for example, after I wake up in the morning from a night's sleep, I calculate that I have not eaten for about 12 hours. And even then, if I skip breakfast, I will lose the energy and attention for the whole day's work. Because if I don't eat breakfast I won't get glucose which is the source of energy for my whole day's work. In medical terms, the breakfast I eat causes my body to break down and absorb glucose and store it as fat for energy. And from this I can work with energy for the whole day.

On the other hand, if I say that I get most of the total nutrition of the day from breakfast. If we do not choose nutritious food in breakfast, but we will get necessary vitamins, minerals and all kinds of nutrients from breakfast. So our body needs to store energy for such extra work, we can gather from breakfast. This will not only be a source of energy, but will also help increase the vitamins and minerals we need to maintain good health.

My Breakfast is Full of Nutritious Vegetables.

Another important argument for me is that breakfast helps to increase our brain power. Research has shown that people who skip breakfast suffer from a decline in mental performance. And throughout the day they feel sluggish which makes our normal tasks difficult and leads to laziness at work. Therefore, regular breakfast is very important for our health as well as for increasing brain power and making us focus on work.

I would like to give a real example from my life in this regard. I am a government employee in Bangladesh. I have to be at work five days a week from nine in the morning to five in the afternoon. I used to skip breakfast early in the morning when I joined the job. The reason for this is the long distance from my home to the office and busy schedule in the mornings.

But I had to face various physical problems due to not eating breakfast. First, due to fasting for a long time from night, I started having gas problems, I started gaining weight, problems sleeping at night and above all, I could not concentrate on my office work and felt tired all day. I went to the doctor due to increasing gas stick problem and after various tests he told me that I had gas in my stomach due to not eating for a long time. Then when I eat later, it puts pressure on my large intestine which causes severe pain. And the main reason for this is because I did not eat breakfast.

My Breakfast is Rich in Protein.

Therefore, to eliminate such physical problems, it is most important to eat breakfast regularly. That is why I believe that medically proven that breakfast is very effective at other times of the day. A proper breakfast not only keeps us active but is also very beneficial for our body and mind. Because eating in the morning increases our energy levels and prevents us from overeating for the rest of the day. By doing this it is possible to control our weight. And it is due to long-term practice that our weight is controlled and we are less likely to develop heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Finally, I will say that I completely agree with this argument that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for us. For this reason, if we eat quality protein food in the morning, our physical health will be maintained. So I would say there is nothing more important than breakfast for our health protection. Because as the saying goes, the root of all happiness is health.

Especialmente lo que mencionas sobre desayunar con una buena porción de proteína, está nos dará muchísimas energías, mucho más que comer sólo carbohidratos.
