I Celebrate Dad

This year's Fathers day is a special one.

For some, it s a bad day because they will have to remember their loss or because they have a father but he has abandoned them.

While for some, it's a moment of excitement thinking about fresh things you can do to celebrate the day.

I have to Father's, my Dad and my Husband.

My Dad

My Dad was the first person that made me fall in love in writing. Everyday, you will see him scribbling something on a piece of paper, jotter, even newspapers. Then I would wonder if what he has to write never finishes but it doesn't.

He values education more than anything. I remember him sitting me down to advice me, he asked about my ambitions which I told him, then he said, "Never take education for granted". You can do all you want, but never take learning for granted.

As I grew up, I got to realize it's not really about going to a formal education, with digital skills everywhere, there's so much to learn. Don't be too comfortable in where you are that you wouldn't want to expand, seek for a better future and become better at what you do.

My Husband

For me, it was a special day because it's the first for my husband and I.

My husband is a wonderful man. I work remotely as a social media manager, and most times even when I don't have the zeal to show up, he will encourage me knowing that I don't like settling or leaving things undone past my deadlines.

To celebrate him, I thought of what to do though there's nothing much to do making it glamorous, but I thought of something to do that we don't usually participate in or eat.

That's how I thought to come up with the plan to make Cabbage Sauce, very simple meal but very tasty.

First, we went to church. Gratitude is everything, and what's celebration without thanking God first and having fun of being part of a community, took him out to a great sightseeing for laughs and funs.

Then once we came back, I served the cabbage sause which he was happy for at the end.
