Today is a really frustrating day for me. It was a long and tiring day because my helping hand aunty who assisted me with my household chores didn’t come and I had do to all the work. Eid celebration is going on in our country and everyday guests, neighbors, relatives, and friends are coming in the home. On this special day, we made lots of items at home and enjoyed these beautiful moments with our nearest and closest one. So we have many household chores before Eid, on the way to Eid, and till seven days whole Eid. On the day of Eid, I allowed my helping hand aunt to take a leave but the next morning I told her to come. In the morning I woke up a little late and saw she didn’t come. Then rashly I have to go to the kitchen, making breakfast for everyone, washing the plates, cooking, cleaning the home and also the clothes. The work seemed endless and didn’t understand when it was over. I’m not used to doing these lots of household chores at a time, so it was very tough for me. My back and legs started aching due to standing for so long in the kitchen and also sweeping the floor. In this hot season, it is very tough to wash the cloth and also to cook in the kitchen. I must admit that all my family members help me as much as they can. After breakfast, my mother made the tea for us, and my husband helped me to organize the clothes and also brought my evening snacks before he left for an invitation. In fact, he also asked us not to cook for the night he’ll bring our dinner. But I don’t want to have any outside food on this Eid special day. So I cooked with my own hands his favorite dishes. Alhamdulillah I have spent the whole day with lots of work and got a great lesson in life which is we should not be fully dependable on someone about work which can cause so much trouble at some points in our lives. I really relate that on this festival day, my helping hand aunt deserves some quality time with their family and also how tough day they spent every day. For today, I was like, I just needed to rant and let out my frustration.
I would like to invite some of my Steemian fellows - @sadaf02, @m-princess, and @paholags to share their experiences of ranting.
