I saw some articles recently about declassified information covering aircraft that were not built on this planet (i.e. here), so I can't help taking this claim seriously:

I really believe that the extensive list of researchers and presenters on this topic have convinced me that humanity's best kept secret at the moment is the knowledge that aliens and UFOs are a present-day reality, and not something to be discovered in the future, but rather to be disclosed before 2036!!!

That doesn't rule out the possibility of finding radio signals from other civilizations that are closer to our own technological maturity level, though. You might still owe him a coffee. ; -)
