RE: How Do You Politely Stomach the Garbage People Feed You? Like Food Waste
The same plate with food was served no matter what it looked like (no saved in a fridge). At times, it feels as if it were in a different world, but there's still food that makes me gag or I can't swallow.
I remember you told me about this. For me this kind of things can be traumatizing and it affects the adulthood.
I'm used to eat leftover food in my childhood but that's okay because the food was edible and it was within our family. We know what it was.
But somehow it put me off certain dish that reminded me of those time.
I had this horrible little sister that ignored those leftover and I had to finish them knowing if I don't, it would appear again for the next meal.
We have this uproar here because of some nasty people that thinks it's okay to humiliate the vulnerable, just because they can.

We had left overs day every Friday and actually I liked that since we could choose what to eat.
We basically ate the same...
Monday: meat, potatoes, vegetables
Tuesday: same meat, potatoes, vegetables
Wednesday: white beans in tomato saus, with left meat, left cookies potatoes in the oven or macaroni
Thursday: meat, potatoes, vegetables
Friday: the left overs
Saturday: no cooked meal - a can of soup and 2 slices bread made earlier with honey.. that honey was like a dry crust on the bread. The smell and that feeling in my throat... (don't ask).
Sunday: first day of the week: 3 courses - soup, meat and whatever and next dessert (the kind of pudding I didn't like with tiny whatsoever pieces in it that made me gag).
The entire week was said: If you don't finish you plate you will not have a dessert. Strangely enough, that didn't count for Sundays.
I sat there at the dining table long after everyone left....
Those disgusting influencers! The worst is people laugh and will act the same.
For someone that feels discomfort when eating, I feel that the bread would be too dry and to swallow.
Same situation here, I had to sit at the table alone with the cold food. It was a horrible memory.
Those influencers has been condemned upside down by the social media. It doesn't make sense when they still want to defend themselves by calling it a message to urge people to do charity. What? To spit in their face before giving them some coins?
