RE: The last time I felt truly alive was...

I understand that feeling of bad sleep thanks to a bad mattress. In fact, last year I had to throw out my old mattress and buy one that is supposed to be semi-orthopedic. It should be nice and stiff but my new mattress is stiff and unpleasant.
I spent a long time trying to get used to the new stiffness of the mattress. And in the meantime, many nights without being able to sleep well and very discouraged days because of that very fact.

A bad mattress is indeed a burden and even if you "try it" in the shop it's not the sane as sleeping on it for a few nights. Mine should be soft but I can't feel it ☹️ My child's baby mattress is way softer, old and in 3 parts but I think about buying a cover and use that one.

I am thinking of buying a mattress topper to make it softer. I don't have to feel the hard springs going through it from side to side. I will also buy something to reinforce the bottom of the mattress. I am a heavy person and I see that the mattress support is bending a bit. Before it breaks I will proceed to buy a reinforcement hehe.

I have no springs, and the topper but no difference. So I believe it will be the one from the child. I thought about getting everything out of the room and sleep on the floor. A bed takes a lot of space and I rather have room instead of bumping into and walking around furniture. the house isn't that big.
