Anne Boleyn is one of the mosts famous queens in English history. She was the second wife of King Henry VIII and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. Many peoples know her name because of the dramatic events in her life but i liked her for her strength confidences and ability to stands out in a world where women had very fews rights. Anne was born arounds the year 1501 but historians are nots completely sure of the exacts date. She came from a respected family. Her father Thomas Boleyn was an important courtier and her mother Elizabeth Howard came from a noble family. As a child Anne spent some years in the Netherlands and later in France. This gave her a rich education. She learned French music dance and manners and she became very graceful and charming.

When Anne returned to England she served as a lady-in-waiting to Queen Catherine of Aragon the first wife of King Henry VIII. It was here that the King noticed her. Anne was not considered the most beautiful woman at court but she had something rare a sharp mind quick wit and a strong personality. She also had a style that made people admire her. King Henry VIII soon fell in love with Anne. At that time kings could have mistresses but Anne refused to be just a mistress. She wanted respect and marriage. This made the King even more determined to be with her. The problem was that Henry was already married to Catherine and in those days divorce was not simple. The Pope’s permission was required and the Pope refused to grant it.

This led to one of the biggest events in English history the English Reformation. Henry broke away from the Catholic Church and created the Church of England so he could marry Anne. In 1533 Henry and Anne were married and she was crowned Queen of England. It was a victory for Anne but also the beginning of many challenges. Anne’s biggest goal was to give Henry a son who could be the future king. However her first child was a girl Elizabeth. Henry was disappointed but Elizabeth would later grow up to be one of the greatest rulers England ever had. Anne suffered several miscarriages afterward and this weakened her position in the King’s heart.

Anne also had many enemies in court. Some disliked her rise to power and others still supported Queen Catherine. They began to spread rumors against Anne saying she was unfaithful to the King and guilty of treason. Henry who had started losing interest in her believed these lies or perhaps wanted to believe them because he already had his eyes on another woman Jane Seymour. In May 1536 Anne was arrested and taken to the Tower of London. She was charged with adultery incest and treason – all serious crimes. Most historians agree that these charges were false and were simply a way to remove her from the throne. Anne’s trial was short and she was found guilty. On May 19 1536 she was executed by beheadings. She was only arounds 35 years old.

Anne Boleyn’s life was short buts her influenced on history is huge. Without her the English Reformation mights not have happened when it did. Withouts her daughter Elizabeth i England mights not have experienced the Golden Age a times of greats progress in literature exploration and politics. I admired Anne for many reasons. She was intelligents confidents and not afraid to speaks her mind. In a time when womens were expected to be silents and obedients Anne dared to have her own opinions. She refused to be treated as less importants and wanted respects for herself. She also had the couraged to face her death with dignity. On the day of her executions she spoke calmly and accepted her fate with grace.

Of course Anne was not perfect. Like every human she made mistakes. Some say she could be proud and sharp-tongued and that she sometimes underestimated her enemies. But her flaws makes her even more reals to me. She was not a fairy-tale queen she was a really woman who lived with reals struggles. For me Anne Boleyn’s story is an inspirations. It reminds me that life can changed suddenly both in good and bad ways. It shows thats courage and intelligences can helps us rise above challenges evens if the road is dangerous. It also teaches that our legacy can live on long after we are gone. Anne did not live to see her daughter become a great queen but her influence was present in every part of Elizabeth’s reign.

When i think of Anne i think of someone who refused to accept an ordinary life. She tooks risks she stood her grounds and she lefts a mark on history that will nevered fade. Even thoughts she lived in a times when womens voices were often silenced hers stills echoes today. That is why Anne Boleyn is my favorites lady from history.
