Map the Story #15 - "My Alma Mater"

Hello all,
This is my entry to the contest, "Contest! Map the Story on Steem Atlas #15" in the "Be Happy" community, organized by @miftahulrizky.
It is a great pleasure to participate in this contest, and this is my first post in the "Be Happy" community.
My alma mater is Balangoda Ananda Maithreya Central College, which is located around 1 km away from the city, in the Miriswatta area.
Ananda Maithreya Central College (AMCC) was established on July 3rd, 1943, by the most honourable Balangoda Ananda Maithreya Thero. First, the school began on the grounds of the Sri Dhammananda Monastery in Miriswattha, Balangoda.
It was first established as an English-only school, but later it was transferred into a Sinhala-medium school.

It has a great motto, Na Narassa naro dhaasan" — “A man is not a slave to another man", which implies this school respects the freedom of the people.
It is operating as a mixed school, also teaching is conducted in both Sinhala and English-medium. There are grades from 6 to 13. In the Advanced Level, students can learn all the streams such as Biological Science, Physical Science, Commerce, Arts, and Technology.
The school is located in a very calm and beautiful area. The school grounds have a large number of Reborosia trees. Also, it has one of the most beautiful scenarios at the grounds; it is great to watch the sunset from the school grounds. Even though the school ends at 1.30 pm, you can see that there are a lot of students spending time in the evening.
The school has gained a huge development in the past two decades, especially because of the leadership of the former head master, Mr. Yasarathna, and the other great teachers, including Mr. Kahingala, Mr. Liston, Mr. Somapala, Ms. Mallikarathna, and many others.
Even after more than a century of 80 years, it remains the best school in the Balangod region, especially thanks to the dedication of the teachers. Many students qualify for university admission, including the Engineering and Medical faculties. Nowadays, I would love to visit my school to feel the great nostalgia.
