📖 Story — Episode 1 // Title: When the Pen Whispers

in Be Happy2 days ago

Greetings🤝
My beloved steemiains, today the rain was drumming lightly against the windowpane as I sat at my old wooden desk.

The candle flickered, casting dancing shadows across the pages I had already scribbled. My heart was racing. My hand trembled slightly as I gripped the pen—because tonight, I promised myself, I would let the stories out.

It started with a whisper in my mind. A voice said, “What if love could be found in the most unexpected places?” Then another: “What if fear could teach you more than courage?” And yet another: “Epic battles do not always need swords—sometimes they need words.”

So I began:

The village of Umo, lay quiet under the moonlight. Its paths were worn, its huts humble, but it held magic—not the kind you see in legends with dragons, but the kind that lives in whispered promises, stolen glances, and the courage of ordinary people.

Ada had always walked the dusty road just before dawn. She carried a basket of yams on her head and wore her grandmother’s shawl, faded but full of memories.

She believed stories were everywhere—in the bark of the big iroko tree, in the way the river laughed over stones, in the smiles people shared even when their bellies were empty.

One morning, as Ada rounded the corner by the market, she saw something unusual: a stranger, kneeling in the dirt, hands trembling as much as mine are now. His face was hidden under a wide hat, his clothes dusty and loose. He was sketching something in the dirt with a stick.

Ada paused.

“May I see?” she asked, stepping closer.

The stranger looked up, startled. The stick fell, then he wiped his hands on his trousers.

“I... I am trying to draw what I see in my dreams,” he said quietly.

Ada knelt beside him. The drawing: trees, flames, water, strange stars—some beautiful, some frightening.

“Your dreams are loud,” she said.

He nodded. “They won't let me sleep.”

Ada smiled gently. “Maybe you are meant to wake them up instead.”

As I paused, I could feel the weight of more stories—some love, some heartbreak, some epic moments. They were holding their breath, waiting for me to choose which one to tell next.

(Engaging Questions;)👉👉 Now, if am to ask, Will Ada help the stranger turn his dreams into something real? Will fear chase them? Will love find them in that small village of Umo, or will suspense tear them apart?

I will be glad to receive our wonderful comments.

Stay close, dear Steemians—I promise, this journey is just beginning..

Much Love ❣️
