Al-Istiqomah Mosque is located on the side of a road with fairly heavy traffic because it is in the central city area, surrounded by shops ranging from commercial businesses to culinary businesses. From the outside, Al-Istiqomah Mosque clearly displays its simplicity—there are no towering minarets or gleaming domes to catch the eye. Yet, it remains a special place because of the many people who stop by to perform their prayers, especially during the day at noon for the Zuhr prayer.

‎The exterior of the building is white on the front wall, while the right, left, and rear walls are made of transparent glass with ornamentation. Green dominates from the columns to the roof of the mosque, making Al-Istiqomah Mosque pleasing to the eye.

‎The interior color scheme of the mosque features additional color variations, with the front walls covered in black ceramic tiles, while green accents adorn the upper portions of the walls and columns. The ceiling is made of brown PVC, and the floor is covered in cream-colored ceramic tiles topped with green carpets.

Personal Experience
‎

‎Although not spacious, the Al-Istiqomah Mosque is able to create a peaceful atmosphere for the worshippers who come, and I am one of those who choose this mosque as a place to perform prayers because I personally feel comfortable and at peace when I am inside the mosque.

‎Often, when I arrive at the mosque for Zuhr prayer, there are already a few worshippers preparing themselves. They don’t speak much, but their smiles and nods are enough to make me feel welcomed, as if all the hustle and bustle of activities outside simply vanish, replaced by a genuine sense of brotherhood.

My Conclusion

‎Masjid Al-Istiqomah reminds me that beauty and peace do not always have to come from grandeur; simplicity can also have a profound impact. This mosque also serves as a testament that even amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there is always a place where we can find tranquility, reflect on ourselves, and feel a connection with the Creator.
